  1. Thanks to you both for the quick responses. I suspected the basic wave sound couldn't be changed. I'll play around with the filter options to see if it achieves what I"m looking for. I appreciate your suggestions. Barry
  2. Hello. I am trying to create a piano tone that is "brighter" (has more treble highs) than the basic sound of the Hex GrPiano1 tones without getting too bright like the hex piano tones. Is there a parameter that I can adjust that would let me tweak the brightness of the tone? I've tried to find one but there are so many parameters, I'm hoping someone with more experience editing hex tones can point me in the right direction. Overall, I am trying to create a single tone that will combine the piano tone with an electric piano tone which I've done with an Upper 1 and 2 combination of a non-hex Piano and EP tones but I need them combined into one tone. I hope this is clear. Thanks in advance. Barry
  3. Hi Brad; No, fortunately I'm not layering in this show, so yours is the perfect solution. Thanks very much! Barry
  4. I am playing a show where the split point between 2 voices needs to change on the fly. I know I can do this via Registration changes but trying to hit the right button at the right time while playing is not easy. I've used an expression pedal to make voice changes in the past; today I looked for a Split Point parameter in Pedal Edit but don't see one. I'm wondering if this is possible; if so, what parameter controls the Split Point? Many thanks. Barry
  5. Agreed. My old Roland FP-7 could do this by plugging a pedal into the sostenuto port and changing a configuration option in a menu. It was great...but the keyboard weighed over 50 pounds😕. I'm too old for that kind of gigging!
  6. Hello; I'm using a PX560 in a stage production that has many patch changes in the score. There are as many as 25 patch changes in a song. I realize I can store the patches that I need in Registrations; my problem is that there are frequently more than 4 changes in a song which means I have to change the Bank, then the required Registration to access the next set of 4 Registrations. While playing, it's difficult to do this quickly. Is there was a way to advance through Registrations sequentially? For example, I'm playing Registration 4 in Bank 1 and then need to change to Registration 1 in Bank 2. I don't see any way to do this without first pressing "Bank", change it to 2, then press Registration 1. Ideally, there would be a way to have the board (optionally) automatically advance to the next Bank when choosing a new Registration. Am I missing something? Or is there any way to do this via an external device? Thanks in advance. Barry
  7. Hello I am looking to replace my (old, heavy) Roland FP-7 with the Casio PX560. I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I play keyboard in a lot of theatrical productions. One of the features I like best on the Roland is the ability to use a second footpedal to trigger a Registration change without taking my hands off the keyboard. From what I have read, the PX560 uses the same term for registration that the Roland does i.e. the ability to store voice(s), layer balance etc. So far, I cannot determine if the PX560 has the same capability i.e. "hands off" Registration change. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? If not, how can registrations be changed quickly on the PX560? I'm also open to other comparison information if there is anyone out there who has used both keyboards. Many thanks. Barry
