  1. I am not a midi specialist, but the general idea is that to choose and play a sound from your midi keyboard, you have to send the corresponding "program change" and "msb" messages (these numbers are listed in the "apendix" in the manuals section under columns 4 and 5). Either your midi keyboard can send these messages and you don't need your computer, or it can't and you have to send these messages through Logic Pro. Anyway, the fact that these 2 messages are listed in the manuals should mean that a CT-X can be used just as a midi sound module.
  2. The best prices for the CT-X series in Europe right now (delivery in 20 countries), https://www.gear4music.de/en/Keyboards-and-Pianos/Casio-CT-X5000-Portable-Keyboard/2A28,
  3. A demo that shows how good guitars are on CT-X3000/X5000 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hF8TxifRfO0
  4. SweetwaterSound's demo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uM2B49n5hjs
  5. 235 Rhytm Styles Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivAuO2JPAbE Part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEDlzmf1u8c

  7. Very nice presentation ! I liked very much to see that Casio offers the possibility to download customized/edited sounds from their websiite. Not everybody is good at tweeking sounds with a good result (I am one of those !) Hopefully there will be a forum topic here where the CT-X users will propose/exchange their customized sounds !
  8. 333 euros for the X3000, and 433 euros for the X5000.
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmlArASoz4c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUs5vBB392E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIErCoEt1ns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeisATbyg7c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okFfJ-0U88g I think the hype will continue growing ! Also prices have gone a little down in Europe: x700/190euros, X3000/333euros, X5000/433euros. (X800 at 300euros is still "too expensive".)
  10. The CT-X700's price is starting to decrease in Europe: 191 euros today (had started at 249 not long time ago).
  11. You both, Brad and George convinced me: I am getting the X5000 ! Thanks !
  12. I hope, with the time, i will find a shop that has both the X3000 and X5000 standing next to each other so that my ears tell me if the X5000's speakers are in my case, worth the (substantial) extra cost !
  13. I forgot to mention: after having played the X3000, I spent a few minutes trying the new Psr E463, i can't say enough how boring that was! The gap is big (soundwise) between the two, and in Europe they cost the same !!!
