    24 volts is common on Casio models with higher wattage speaker systems. CT-X5000, MZ-X series, CGP-700, and many Privia and Celviano console digital pianos.

    1 tone with DSP can be recorded. DSP becomes disabled for any other tones that are recorded.

    Deleting the file is the only way. Once a recording starts or is in record standby, the file is already created.

    Yes, it's mainly synth sounds designed to emulate the classic monophonic synths. Casio has featured a mono mode on many recent models. The MZ-X500 has a mono mode in it's synth engine. The XW series synths have an entire category of sounds dedicated to mono synth, called the "solo synth" tones.

    Hi Owen! Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear about this. First, you can try to blow some air between the keys. If that fails to solve it, it is covered under warranty. You can send it for repair. Let's hope the air works.

    Preset tones with delay use DSP to create the effect. This can be system delay, or a DSP insert effect. Casio calls insert effects "DSP", but both system effects and insert effects are technically using DSP (digital signal processing) to generate sound. None of this uses polyphony.

    Polyphony is the total number of samples the sound engine can playback at any given moment. It does not matter wether those samples are sustained from a previously played note or not. DSP does not use polyphony to create effects. DSP and polyphony are not related.

    Not at all. Monophonic tones are intentionally designed for a particular style of music, style of playing. They're useful as solo synth lead tones and more.

    If you know the sound of the MZ-X500, I can compare that 40 watts to the 30 watts of the CT-X5000. MZ-X500 vent ports face the rear, so you may hear more mid bass on the CT-X5000 since the vent ports are on top. I'd say the MZ is definitely louder, but it's a pretty close race between the two. I often play the CT-X5000 in bed or on the sofa, although I'm sure the lighter and slimmer CT-X700 is more comfy over a longer period. The X5000 can get heavy after a while.

    The CT-X series cannot import MIDI files from a flash drive. WAV files and MIDI files stored on a flash can be played back however. The methods Chandler Holloway outlined in the pinned post can can convert MIDI files to Casio rhythms that the CTX series can import, however I'm not aware of a process to convert MIDI files to phrase files.

    That is not possible. MIDI IN is for use as a sound source only. The input does not internally route to the sequencers.

    Most of the rhythms came from the MZ-X series or other models. Some other members have a thread going on the songs that can be covered by the preset rhythms.

    No. DSP is not related to polyphony. Polyphony is the number of samples the sound engine can playback at once. A stereo piano tone uses 2 samples per note (panned left and right) to produce stereo sound. This is why polyphony is used up at twice the rate with a stereo tone. Use a preset mono piano tone for 64 note polyphony.

    Yes, it (operation lock) locks all controls the controls on the panel except the power button and the buttons needed to unlock it. You can still use a pedal to step through a sequence of registrations with your stored setups.

    Long press the mixer button. Adjust the appropriate mixer parts for each tone. You can save the settings as a registration. See page EN-63 in the manual for more details on navigation in the mixer.

    All of them have a label like that. C2 does not mean it's a different model keyboard. Mine has C2 on the box as well. As Jokeyman said, it's probably just an assembly line number.
