  1. Hoping to buy CDP s360 piano. Any feed back from users who have owned this piano for some time now, would be appreciated, especially regarding key bee action, playing experience in general.

  3. Hi,

I read on this forum your recommendation to someone for an amp to match the Casio PX-5S – the Roland KC110.

I've just bought this amp and are wondering what cables you use to connect the piano to the amp for stereo sound.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  4. Hey Brad, I downloaded your rhythm/accompaniment Bradsshfl  awhile back and it is easily the best rhythm/accompaniment I've seen for this keyboard! It's clean and simple and perfect for backing track use. Got any more Rock/Pop based styles?

Thank you.  That's the only rhythm I have.

  5. I am a live performer and I need to be able to change from Piano to Organ to BRASS section and I do not know where to begin to do basic programming so that I can push 1 or 2 buttons to get to BRASS etc.  HELP!!!!

  6. Can someone please help me. I have the cdp-s350 keyboard. But I'm trying to multitrack where you can record multiple tracks and play them all at the same time to build a whole song but so far I can only record myself playing 1 track and can't make another one play with it at the same time. For example, play and record piano, then organ, then horns ect, then play them all at once.

  7. Hi Martin I am new to the forum. Where can I download piano sounds and other sounds to my Casio privia pro px-5s Stage Piano? Can this be done via the USB stick or not? Can you help me or not. I appreciate your feedback.

  8. Hi Mike.

    I’m from Italy

I have a serious problem with the Previa PX 560.

    I can't edit the controllers.

I followed your video tutorial carefully. I went through your instructions on how to assign the expression pedal step by step.

I changed the pedal type from "foot switc" to "exp.pedal" and so far so good. The problem arises when I try to move the darts to get to CC11 EXPRESSION. As soon as I touch the aforementioned white arrows on a blue background facing the up, numbers from cc to 24. Cc12 etc. do not scroll. but I suddenly find myself on Main window. I think there is something wrong with the display. Or I am wrong something?Or is there some setting that I need to change?THANKS SO MUCH.Pietro

  9. Within the CTX3000 DSP settings there are rotary fast, rotary slow, rotary speed up, rotary slow down, and rotary stop. How do I program the speed up and slow down effects so that they can be heard when I switch from fast to slow rotary speeds? Thank you for your help, Paul

The CT-X series, including the CT-X5000, does not have the virtual drawbar organ found in the CTK-7200.  Casio moved the virtual drawbar organ to the MZ-X series.

Paul, the CT-X3000 and 5000 are identical in terms of organ sounds and user tone editing.  Are you looking at the 5000 for the modulation button that can be setup to switch rotary speed?  The full rundown of changes between the two models are this, the 5000 deletes the battery power option and adds the following....

      8 additional system reverb types
      4 additional system chorus types
      5 additional system delay types
User 4 band semi-parametric master EQ
      50 additional user rhythms
      Modulation/assignable button
      Tone and Rhythm category buttons

      Lighted registration buttons
      Line out terminal 1/4" x 2
      Microphone input 1/4"
      Mic volume knob
      Speaker system 15w x 2 (6w x2 for CT-X3000)

  12. Hi CASIO folowers... the picture in my wall showing me (men in red) performing CASIO KEBOARDS (1987)  in a store located in Chihuahua, Mexico... I traveled many places working for CASIO

  13. Good Morning, Brad. Regarding the PX-360M,
There are TEN (10) missing registration

presets on the "Piano Rhythms" Percussion Selection Menu.

    Seems 011( Piano R&R) to 020 ( Waltz 5) are "deaf blank"
and were NEVER " programmed in."  This was verified many months ago with
the New Jersey Casio Tech Dept guy I spoke to. He said he would contact
someone in Japan about it, but never got back to me yet. So, how can I possibly restore

them (whenever available)..without compromising my 96 customized registrations?

Or, this is a totally separate configuration issue, and I will not even have to worry

about it. I don't know how Casio even let this go by them, without proof testing

ALL of the original initialized spec  settings..before they actually released the PX-360M.

    Need your feedback/advice/opinion on this. THx...Lennie James/Newbie

  14. Mr GenderNotTelling Saucier:

This quote was in one of your replies dated 2018.

"The MZX works a little differently than the AT series.  On the MZX series, to permanently change the recorded upper 1 tone on the system track, open the mixer and choose port B, change the tone on part 1 to whatever you want then hold the store button while pressing MIDI play button.  It will overwrite the header data with the new tone. "

I own the MZX500 and a PA600 and a PSRS775.  The Casio by far, frustrates me.  I discovered from your statement that I could alter any of the parameters of Parts 01-04.  Your "TRICK" of holding STORE while pressing MIDIplay updates my edits on the set-in-stone SystemTrack.  Finding your comment was like finding a golden nugget for me.  But why do we have to rely on the "discovery method" to learn about our arranger music-making tools?

Well, MrSaucier I would like to know how you have come to know the largely unknown button presses that programmers have incorporated into the MZX?  I think if Casio would provide more complete information on their arranger keyboard, some of us that own other makes would not be so darn frustrated with our Casio products.

  18. Hi Brad,
we know each other from the first days in PX-5S. :-)
I bought MZX-500 yesterday additionally to my PX-560.
For some cases I need a lighter device.
First I noticed that when I turn off the internal speaker via System "Speaker" to off, the level on the line-out became louder. This is not on my PX-560.
Is this a common "problem", or do I have to set a new parameter?
I wonder why noone was able to build a sound converter for the MZ-500.
you know I had done this for the PX-560. Much work but no one was interested to help.
Remember I build it as an Excel VBA Plugin and it seemed that people didn't like that.
But I have no the experience to build a nice application with graphic interface.
So I didn't release after even Weiser did not want it. The result we see:
Tons of Sounds for PX5, and less for PX560 and almost nothing for MZ-500.

The conversion could also be done to the MZ-500.
I know that there a more parameters, but I think the "raw" from PX-5S could be converted.
I have not the time currently, but maybe in the next weeks.

Hi Ralf. The line level changes when the speaker is turned off. It's normal.  Glad you joined us in the MZX group.  Have fun!

  19. Hi Brad, have my casio px 560 out of monsoon storage, some condensation happened, but a fan cleared it, and all keys work proper again. Not so for my usb midi connection. It shows on the computer but cannot find the proper drivers, or records only and not playback. My new mixer works fine with the usb out on my pc. Not the casio however. Can this be humidity? How to open and clean?

  20. I WANT an MZ-X500, mostly due to the awesome videos from Ralph Maten on YouTube.  (However, I suspect he has done some serious custom editing on his MZ to do what he does.)  But it's awesome!  If the MZ-X500 was 76 keys, I would have bought one already.  (Maybe for NAMM in January...please Casio!)  In the meantime, I'm trying to educate myself on this awesome board.

So, articulations.  I can't get my hands on an MZ anywhere in my area, but I played the Yamaha PSR-S970 yesterday and the Super Articulations are ... WOW!  Can the MZ create these articulations (fret slides, keyoffs) in the melody hand while playing, like the Yamaha, or do I have to hit special keys in the lower register or pads to trigger these random (but gorgeous) nuances?  I looked at the Appendix pg 15, referencing "Versatile Tones" but I'm still not clear on this.

    1. Brad Saucier

      Brad Saucier

This would be better to start a thread in the MZX forum so the answer can be there to help others who may have the same question.  To answer, nuances are triggered either by velocity or playing certain notes outside of the low guitar range.

  21. PX-5S - XW-G1... what's next??? :-)
