  1. I have no expirience with the DSI Evolver, However its possible on the G1 because off the samples themselves you need to set favorable loop points on to you're samples to get good result I'm still working on that how to calculate what a good set of loop points can be on either one-shot, loops or instrument samples. But you can use all of you're sample types on Sseq and change them with multi-key in performance or use performance solely. Beside that the G1 can have 9 instrument samples(depending on sample rate) and use them in Sseq as instruments you can assign them one by one to solo channel for live performance and switch samples with multi-key in performance mode. So the challenge is making a song and seamlesly do some wave sequencing either with a beat or pad/ambient/etc samples. I've already tried a few things but now I have to build it into a complete song. I use Sonar X3 Raptor and it lets you deform , morph sound in real time with the G1 you have to do it in the sample as instrument and sample how the sound changes at specific octaves and while you play it use Knobs and CC messages to manipulate them in real-time. Part 2 is going about that but it will take some time
  2. Wave sequencing or transitional synthesis is a process where one sound continuously cross from one wave to another, Its almost similar to what DJ do to fit one beat to another. For wave sequencing going from one wave to another needs some vector to go have to wave cross fade from one to another, The G1 can be programmed to do wave sequence by programming the knobs and sliders to manipulate each wave with MIDI CC control messages assigned to them. To switch waves the same CC messages can be programmed to be set using Multi-key in Performance mode. With Multi-key there is a rich set of messages changing notes , control info etc in real-time. The beauty of the G1 within Performance mode a tone continues until you hit another key it doesn't abrupt stop but depending if you've got a long release on it continues to fade out same also for samples unless you switch mode on the G1 then it gets cutoff immediately. The sampler of the G1 is very versatile it can do One-shots , Loops and instruments sampling. Instrument sampling can be done on the G1 using Recmode Split-AT this mode makes it possible to do five octave samples. This instrument sampling is very useful doing wave sequencing because you can create complete song samples or beats that follow each other consecutive withing you're performance. Using Tones for wave sequencing is also an option by using Multi-Key and choosing for a set of tones to be applied consecutive into you're sequence in doing so gives you a broader range into you're song sonic spectrum by also adding effects or other control options to change in real-time. The sliders or knobs are you're master set of manipulating an instrument in sequence this can be Release , Decay , Resonance or other filter options to give some motion to samples, Using the step sequencer in addition to you're musical composition you can also use its option in real-time to copy one part to another change scales, select selecting different tone's to notes, Groove , note-lengths etc into you're sequence. Within Performance mode there is lots of space to mold you're creative outlet into a composition master piece together with Sseq and Sampling there is space in how a song can be made to ones sonic taste.
  3. Same here I'm in the Netherlands and would also like that particular usb-stick, Casio Netherlands doesn't keep them cool stuff around for which I want to add Casio should sell snazzy things like shirts, covers, sticks even if its limited hope someone bold enough to do so.
  4. There is not much space for performance patches I'm getting on max very quickly, In part also due that I need more then one version of a patch. I could delete unused patches true but there is always a basic behind certain patches to work starting from a certain point again I'm finding myself lots of time's that it always good to keep them. I've found the slot occupation index always quiet odd it seems lot still by working on you're patches and saving multiple copy's of a patch you quickly reach the max. Its a bit tedious keeping a good house hold on you're work. There are times that I'm right in a work flow undisturbed getting to these issue's hitting up the editor and do some patch keep decision making how to keep it nice together. I don't know about you guys but I do lots with the synth and getting out of space, Sometimes I think there is a reason for the total available slots giving for the XW synth a full slot occupation lead to slow consecutive patch switching I've noticed especially with patches which use effects , controls etc. Even made the G1 hang or show a blank screen at times. I'm guessing to think performance mode use lots more information storage then solo-synth or step sequence. As retrieving the data for a patch and initialize the DSP, Filters etc. At times It seems i'm really pushing the G1 with control, dsp and filters at both performance and Sseq for it to chuckle a bit. Well there is when one can say o.k maybe that was to much to do at once. Needles to say I hope for more slot space in future synthesizers.
  5. I like the themed packs approach I was waiting for this to happen (nearly wanted to post about this subject)the PX5 is a bit out of my league to do it yet myself designing "good" stages. With the G1 its a challenge let alone the other synths I have and my imagination to spark something out. I'm happy this is starting out hope themed packs will slowly be a thing of the future also for the other newer and classic keyboards by user designed or veterans.
  6. That list seems out dated like they have not did comparison in a while it misses lots of the new digital piano's out there today.
  7. Oh I've missed the announcement what will be covered?
  8. Have you've tried searching the download section there are nice EP for the PX5S available.
  9. That the spirit continue on cause outside its getting cold inside its warm so more key time
  10. No in this forum you must, Soundcloud and Youtube one must be. Search for Casio Gear on both.
  11. Love how it sound well patched in the mix would love the hear the PX5 variant as well not for comparison but out of sonic curiosity.
  12. I know what you mean by tempting the price difference budget wise made me sway to the PX5S NOT! to my regret I was eyebawling the PX5S anyway. The MOXF8 would complement much in what I like in music either the MOXF6 will fill that space or a Korg in a few years or so workstations certainly shorten time in noodling a song together but one with a big library of sounds closes the gap bigtime.
  13. I've must have missed this in the manual how is this?
  14. You could edit and tweak the tone sounds its a synthesizer you can do anything you want. Use Performance layer two zones each its own guitar tweak the octave , transpose and finetune bend one a bit add some DSP adjust chorus , reverb to it you might get out some desired sound. But out of curiosity what kind of guitar patches has you're interest for which genre.
  15. Ooh that song I've forgotten those nice bass riffs... hahha once you've heard it again its sticks for a while will scream that tomorrow totally nutters ah those good old day's. Good I've quiet smoking years ago
  16. Or the recording type isn't set correctly, I choose AT-Rec when I record from the XW directly. @Genna what recording type does the XW shows when you record. Do you arm the rec first for recording And if you record does it give a pre-count ?. Mostly important is did you select the right length for recording maybe you got to experiment with the lengths to get the sample to play right as desired.
  17. Uuuuh "Hit me with you're shovel Mick" ??? that isn't what I think it means is it, Or something is vewy wong wib my thoughts XD LEL.
  18. Nice work indeed like how you combined tones to get it together its how things starts selecting tunes.
  19. Do you mean like a drum loop or melody that you want to play on top.
  20. Version 1.0

  22. Industry loops I like this.
  23. Hmmm though one. Well as you already know I've had 1.10 and have some stages I've downloaded installed on that version but they never stayed after the keyboard turned off. I've used the official AllFiles (because of the awesome stages) both 1 and second update noticed they loaded automatically if the usb thumb stayed in the usb connector? oh . I've then installed 1.13 mind that my keyboard still on 1.10. After the keyboard installed 1.13 I've played with the stages and noticed the difference at first I though it was normal and a huge step up but then I noticed other "sound artifacts" that sounded not to belong to tones and such. Such as ringing , thin tones and no low to any patches. I've slightly noticed it with piano's but I though that had been revamped also. Then I loaded the second official all files and that where I noticed how big the difference really where to what I've previous heard and played same problem but with EQ set high and no lows though to fix the problem by lowering the keyboard a few semitones/scales down no result. It got really ugly for some stages, That why I commented it sounded so keyboardist like and hardly as an stage because it was for some stages. It was like all zones where set with no filters , volume , panning etc just plain tones with no movement. But that wasn't for all stages for others like the phazed clav which again sounded crisp and nice but stages like "six degrees ld" and "wonderland" dropped in down sonic. First I thought it was the all files then I did all official files same. After a while I could not play fine on the keyboard with some stages being way off and the ringing was killing my ears. That when I installed 1.12 also with the official all files strangely I've noticed some slight differences in that version also. Now I got 1.13 on it and all seems well . Placebo indeed pops up here as well been years that I last seem this effect happening. It still faze me a bit how the problem solved itself after 1.12 shows the PX5S also has a complex keyboard engine under the hood. There wasn't much actually to the piano part most was to the stages sounding a bit off like E.G , E.Q and such.
  24. Been waiting for him to demo the PX5S finally finally should have mention also the musictrack gear site to highlight the PX5S ..... Sugoi UJIIE honto ni sugoi.
  25. With a bit of reluctance I've installed 1.13 again.... All seems vanished I don't understand what happened under the hood the only thing I can think about is something stayed intact going from 1.10 to 1.13 causing none proper initialization I'm guessing here. Good thing is the ringing is gone PX5 is vibrant again, It should not matter but I'll update each step of the way to prevent uneasiness. Updates can be tricky fruit-cake stuff next time I'll record any unexpected event
