Well, yes, you need to have a special brand Android tablet or phone and the right firmware version to get around the latency delays... But it seems Android apps are catching up versus the IPAD apps... Anyway, I just got confirmation from Casio Support Germany, that the WK-7500 is NOT firmware updateable... Too bad !

Yes, my upper method works, but there is one problem, that the Patterns don´t play, until you pressed a key like C on the keyboard... Also it is a problem to switch between maybe F001 and F050 as you need to tap the PLUS key then 49 times in a row and by that time the measure is already over and you will miss the new User Rhythm... So a solution is to use the Event Editor...but with this I am still struggling...as it seems it is displaying timecode instead of measures and beats...so it is hard to interpret where a new Rhythm must be set up. Also as the Patterns are transposable, you always need to have programmed in the basic key for it, which is another insert you have to dial into the Event Editor... so pretty complex.... Is there still a simpler method like the old Rhythm machines , where you just needed to type in the patterns playlist ? Would be cool, if the Data Manager would support this to make songs this way.. I think one can do it this way. First make your own User pattern like F001 to e.g. F020 or so, so we have made with the pattern sequencer 20 selfmade patterns. Now go to the Easy Recording mode with the Song Sequencer and then set the first starting Pattern like F001 and then start the easy recording mode by pressing Start/stop button. Now during playback of Pattern F001 press the Plus button to go to the next Rhythm you have choosen in your playlist... Now if your playlist of Pattern is like this: F001 F005 F010 F010 F010 F011 you must start with F001 and then press during Playback of F001 4 times the PLUS button to get to F005 and then F005 will play after F001 has ended... and so on... I think this way it will work. I will now try it this way. Is there any other way you can do this more easily ?? Probably via manual editing via the Step editor somehow ? But how ? Thanks for the Reaper tip. Did you try first other DAW software solutions and then settled on Reaper ? Seems to be a pretty powerful software... Hi ALL, is it possible to start with the Pattern Sequencer do the basic maybe 250 pattern for a 4 minute song and then copy all these pattern to the song sequencer and then play a solo lead voice over maybe 30 pattern on another song sequencer track ? If you only do pattern sequencing you are pretty fixed, when you want to play a solo over it, so you would have to edit many patterns to include this solo lead voice track otherwise... Put a Mike into the Mike input, turn up the Mike Vol knob to full, press the Audio Rec button until it blinks and then press the START button so the REC lights stays lit and then sing ! There will be a wave file created on the SD card, so you need to insert a SD-card that must be formated in the keyboard. The SD card must be at least a 2 GB card, or maximum 32 GB, only SD and SDHC, no SDXC ! After you have recorded the keybord goes into Audio Playback mode, where it only plays this WAV file from the SD-card. YOu can then still play along with the keyboard tone to your singing, but can NOT use the sequencer to compose a song with it.. So to record a complete song with a solo vocal line you would first make your song complete via the internal song sequencer and then sing along the playback of the sequencer and record all of this to the SD-card.... Just see the SD card like a tape recorder, it can only record ONE stereo track, so you can only record the output of your sequencer to it and only sing along to it and record this all in ONE step as the final recording, so to say... It is not possible to recorded several audio tracks and layer them together...too bad... Hope this helps...

Yes, please do an intense workshop of how to combine the Pattern Sequencer with the Sound Sequencer to produce and compose songs which you start via the Pattern Sequencer and work this into a complete song via the Song Sequencer. Show every step in detail and also show how to effectively use the Mixer Sliders to get a completed Mix and a final song done this way. Would be cool to see everything in detail so it would be easier to learn how to compose songs with this keyboard. Many thanks in advance. Regards, Stefan. Okay, I see. So the way to go is probably to take my laptop and put it besides my WK 7500 and do the audio choir layering tracks there and sync the WK 7500 to the laptop sequencer via USB-Midi-Clock or something like this... I like it more to compose the music directly on the keyboard and then later import or sync the WK 7500 then with the laptop... Now the question is, which Audio and Midi- Recording software works best with the WK-7500 ? I have tried Cubase onceb at a friend´s place, but it has a steep learning curve, so what about Fruity loops or something like this ? What is the best and easiest multitrack recording program to sync perfectly with the WK 7500, so the WK 7500 will play all the 16 tracks of music from its internal sequencer and the audio parts will come from the laptop ? The Audio Multitrack software should have easy Punch-In -Out capabilities and should also support Realtime Reverb effects during recording already, so I can hear already reverb while singing in the audio tracks and it should work with the buildin soundcard from the laptop or a cheap external USB soundcard. Any ideas ? Many thanks. P.S. Otherwise , I still wanted to say that the WK 7500 is a great music workstation for composing music. P.S.S: If somebody else still could adress the questions about the firmware or any tricks about loading short 3 to 4 seconds audio samples via the USB into the keyboard, please post your infos. Too bad, yes, normally these keyboards are then more expensive.. Will Casio soon have such a real Audio Workstation keyboard or do we still have a wait a few years for this to come out ? Is it somehow possible via the USB connection to transfer real audio samples into the internal User memory, so I might could record a few audio samples on my PC and then transfer these into the User Memory of the WK 7500 to use these in the sequencer ? Do you know about the firmware updates and how to get with what keys simultaneouly pressed into the service menu to see the firmware version ? Many thanks. Regards, Stefan. P.S: Would be cool, if Casio could release a firmware update from WK-7500 to WK-7600. I would also pay for this, if that would be possible... It seems they only changed some software features in the WK-7600 model, like an added graphic equalizer... otherwise the models seem to be equal, only the LCD display is now at a higher angle...so you can better see it..
