  1. The "legofication" of the pro line based on WK, XW & PX gene pool. Invite musicians to the brand by extending the life cycle of their existing investments.
  2. For those interested, there is a Kijiji ad (Muskoka, Ontario Canada) for a potentially useful MIDI control "board". I have no connection to this. Simply want to bring it to your attention. It's the second one I have come upon but am not interested in adding another piece of gear to the gig bag. Go to Kijiji, choose Ontario A-???, Muskoka then go. cheers
  3. a link that may be of interest: http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~clark/nordmodularbook/nordmodularbook.pdf
  4. no more built-in displays wireless transmitter instead connect to user's mobile device subscription -based apps - funds may help sustain platform viability performance app editor app recorder/seq app speech recognition input option possible open-architecture for teks in the user community gig no. two with px-5s and all is well... regards to all
  5. Flexible membrane display that can be connected to a mobile device. Big enough to show notation AND lyrics. Plus an upgrade for organ module, editor, etc. (could be apps). Battery cover could allow for touch control of the mobile device itself. Sorry, very late in the cooling north; can't sleep.
  6. Architecture Look at the whole thing Bang for the buck = sale (without ever having touched the beast) If I wanted only one thing, there are many keyboards in my studio that fit the bill. Get more people playing an instrument. Encourage young people to get into this instrument; it serves so many purposes so well.
  7. It's way too late, wide awake staring at the ceiling and this pops into my aging brain. Why not extend functionality into one or more tablet apps? consider: midi & audio ports midi "volume" issues could modularize organ, xw, editor, etc. After all, isn't that why the "landing" pad over the batteries exists? If this is just too crazy, blame it on lack of sleep ... sheep 3,256
  8. Looking for a way to audition tones in their "deafault" forms. Is this a simple matter of using setting 0-0; zeroing eq knobs and fx sliders and making sure only zone 1 is on? When might it be useful to save tweaked tones into user locations, especially considering the probability that multiple tones and subsequent edits can be saved as a setting? Haven't used the editor yet but realize it can be an effective master librarian tool. Anyone programming to place live set settings into individual banks? Simply too much fun... Nay sayers dumbstruck when having to reconcile what they hear with the brand name on the instrument; way 2 go, Casio. life wants live music - pass it on
  9. Live in Ontario. Got mine several weeks ago from a local outfit. Used live already. Did research online as a result of buying a used WK-7500.
  10. question re: rotary effect watched the clinic video and listened to the rotary effect (fast) on an organ stage preset - good listen to the preset through an amp - mono audio - sounds awful have not made any changes/edits is this solely due to a mono vs stereo issue?
  11. Has there been any discussion about "generic" template files for typical setups such as layers, splits, etc.? Would this idea be dealt with by simply using one of the 100 as a starting point? I know that they are grouped; just wonder if the design workflow is best served by working from tone to setup or the other way around.
  12. Is it a simple matter of taking a MIDI out from the Behringer FCB1010 into the PX-5S then having immediate expression control from one of the two foot controllers?
  13. Thanks, Scott. Another pro: leveraging social media to flatten the learning curve a bit based on community input Is the design of this instrument based primarily on north american input?
  14. valuable resource; bookmarked busy reading a bit closer to reversing opinion of rotary sim - still missing rotary element differentiation an old b3 guy still eager to learn new tricks - will attempt a negotiation with pedal 2 edit bought this keyboard sight unseen based on recovery of a WK-7500 from a young man who simply gave up on the instrument before any serious attempt to deal with the learning curve very curious about how young players can be attracted to these powerful yet affordable instruments
