  1. Is there a way to change the Pedal Function in a performance other than Edit > Controller > Pedal. My ultimate goal here is to be able to switch the functions of the pedal during a performance. In particular for the XW G1 I am wanting to initially use the pedal to LPER REC (Looper Record) setting, then once I have my loop set up I am wanting the pedal to change to controlling the PHRS REC (Phrase Recorder function). A form of the same question for the XWP1 would be changing the pedal function from PHRS REC to PHRS P/S. I have some knowledge of midi and nrpn but I am not sure if this is able to control the Pedal option. Maybe this is possible via the MLTFUNC KEY for XWG1? External Hardware? Thanks!
  2. I am currently having this exact same issue with both my pitch bend and my mod wheel. both will just randomly start to change the pitch and modulation as i play, especially on the lower end of the keyboard closer to both wheels. My quick fix for this was to disable both the pitch bend and the mod wheel inside of a performance mode...of course my synth will still need to get serviced to fix this because it dramatically effects other aspects of the synth such as trying to record phrases (the phrase recorder picks up on the moving wheels before i even press any keys)
  3. Hey guys, I dont know what was really going on, but today the phrase recorder is working just fine. really weird that yesterday i restarted the synth so many times and it was having the error. It works now so im happy! Thanks for the help all!
  4. I am having trouble with recording phrases on my XW-P1. After pressing record the "PHRASE REC" menu will only pop up for a second and then immediately go back to the prior screen it was on. This is making me unable to change my Rec Mode, End Qntz and Note Qntz options. Is there any other way to get to the PHRASE REC menu so that I can adjust those options? I wasn't having this error prior to updating to Version 1.11, I used to be able to adjust these options as the PHRASE REC screen did not immediately close out when I opened it. Is anyone else having this error?
  5. Thanks for all the help guys, i feel like a total idiot about this because its still not working for me. Ive verified the data folders under preferences and tried following your steps and the steps of the manual. Nothing ever shows up in my "Computer File List". Also what exactly happens when you click "Create New Package", i would think this allows you to create a new package and begin editing, but for me this button does nothing. There is nothing to drag over from the computer file list, how do i get something there to drag over and edit if Create New Package doesnt create a new package? Ive been doing good otherwise with just editing on the synth so its not too important to me wasting time trying to figure out the data editor. Thanks again!
  6. So even with the most recent editor and most updated firmware the data editor still does nothing for me. even after multiple deletes and redownloads. it must be something im doing wrong. Any help on this?
  7. Hello all, I just downloaded the latest version of the data editor (both the mac and the windows versions) and for some reason I am not able to create a new package in either version. Whenever I click on 'New Package' nothing happens. Everything works fine whenever I click 'Open Package' and 'Save Package' though. Is anyone else having this problem?
  8. Hello all, This is my first synth and I'm a bit new to the process of using synthesizers. My question is about the settings of the knobs when using Performance mode. When going through the various options for the functions of the knobs (CC00, CC55, so on) I notice many of these don't seem to alter the sounds I am using. I'm 100% sure that I am not fully understanding the true functions of these options for the knobs, and I'm not really finding the help I need on the so called "world.casio.com" website (as directed in the xw-p1 manual). Does anyone know where I can get a good starting point for understanding how these work? Thanks!
