  1. CT-S1000V Firmware 1.02 CT-S500V Firmware. 1.06 Among other updates....USB MIDI Port In Select. This allows the USB Input to choose the live keyboard parts. Registrations now selectable via Bank/Program change. ENJOY!
  2. No, it is not. Who said that?? It is a new platform which includes a new action but it does not have many of the capabilities of a stage piano / MIDI controller of the PX-5S. That being said some of our artists that use the PX-5S have played the new instruments are wanting into incorporate them into both their studio and live rigs.
  3. The PX-S6000 would make a great platform for the PX-5S successor. 🤔
  4. Hey everyone. Due to some technical difficulties we had to reschedule. Our live event is now scheduled for 9/22 at 1pm EST. You can join us here on the Casio site or directly on Youtube Joining us in the event - interview some of our stars including actress and singer-songwriter Alicia Witt, Steve Weingart, Leon Thomasian and Christian Matthew Cullen. We'll be taking questions live as well.
  5. The DSP section is what you need to edit. There are over 100 cabinet simulators there, plus an excellent overdrive section. One of the most amazing things about the CT-X5000
  6. Martin, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having but I'm not sure anyone here on the forum and properly diagnose the problem you're having. I would assume that the technician ruled out a power supply problem. If this hasn't be confirmed, replacing the power supply is the first thing I'd do. Based on the design of the instrument, if it is getting proper power that leaves very few options besides replacing the main board. I'm not a technician myself but based on what I know, usually the process of replacing the whole board is more economical than diagnosing and replacing individual parts on those boards.
  7. To be clear, you using the USB-MIDI input? Since the CT-S500 only has USB MIDI, that requires a host - a computer or other type of interface to go between. A direct cable connection is not possible.

  10. The PX-5S is a digital, sample based synthesizer but it offers enormous flexibility. Perhaps thinking about Vangelis passing, I found myself going down a bit of rabbit hole last night. DIGILOG is a set of analog style experiments for the PX-5S. Essentially the goal was to make is sound as alive as possible, by creating an enormous amount of randomization. These Stage Settings consist of two zones. Zone 1 = Oscillator 1 and Zone 2 = Oscillator 2. Each zone uses 6 splits, each with different sawtooth waveforms spread across the keyboard, so even when playing notes an octave apart, it is unlikely you'll hear the same sawtooth sample. Each sawtooth (layer) has its own slight pitch, envelope and filter randomization. This concept is duplicated on the second zone and with each of the parameters and samples slightly altered from the first zone. This means when the filter is adjusted or the envelope is rising, nothing is happening at exactly the same time or the same way. Note: Reverb added using Valhalla VintageVerb Download at: https://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/files/file/1488-digilog/

  12. What @Brad Saucier said is essentially correct. Setting Reverb depth to maximum increases the wet/dry mix of that system effect. You'll hear more reverb. Using the knobs for reverb level changes the SEND level going to that System effect.
  13. These registrations will load into your PX-S3100 and the knobs are already set -
  14. Play hard. You’ll notice the primary grand is much more dynamic. The mellow, stays mellow. You’ll hear a more dramatic difference on headphones or other amplification.
  15. There are no issues using a CT-S1 or any other Casiotone on a Mac with Monterey assuming you have the proper cable to connect it. Even tested with the latest Mac Studio.
  16. Unfortunately your PX-780 will need to be serviced by a technician.
  17. You can control Hex Layer parameters via the 3 knobs on the PX-560. They can't be controlled from an external MIDI controller.
  18. @CMedia It sounds like there is some resonance that is causing a vibration internally. This is most likely a physical issue, not something at a reset or firmware could help. Have you contacted your dealer? How long ago did you purchase your PX-780?
  19. Turning it off and back on would do the trick. In general though, press the Tone button in the upper right and you’ll see the Layer button on the bottom of the screen.
  20. I know this cable works: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Micro-Braided-Jacket/dp/B00UUBRX0Y?th=1 I normally use a small USB Hub that provides a bunch of regular USB-A ports and a Micro-USB cable from "Amazon Basics".
  21. I've confirmed that our products work fine on Monterey. The issue is the cable or adapter.
  22. That's odd. I know a lot of people with that combination and they'd use PX-5S for piano and Kronos for many other sounds. The PX-5S piano tone is superb in mono is well compared to most instruments. The most common adjustment is EQ which by default is controlled by the knobs. You can also try some other piano tones that you can download here from the forum. There are so many options to choose from.
