  1. Thanks for answering my question!
  2. Does the PX-560 respond to MIDI Program Change by loading a specified Registration?
  3. Considering buying a PX-560. I currently own a PX-5S and a Hammond SK1, which I use for gigging with bands. I also picked up a CTK-6250 which I have been using with a duo, taking advantage of the rhythm capability. I like the Registration concept because I can reuse the same registration for multiple songs just by toggling Split and Layer and setting a different rhythm and/or tempo as desired. But I find the sound quality and of course the keybed less desirable on the CTK vs the PS-5S. From online demos and such, it seems like the PX-560 is like a PX-5S sound-wise, but with a “registration” UI, drum machine, and speakers added. Is that about right? Also, are the organ sounds available for PX-560 any better than those for PX-5S? I would like to be able to go to a 1-keyboard solution for everything.
  4. Is it possible to create new rhythm patterns on the PS-560 (not just overlay a different drum set on a factory pattern)? If not, how were the patterns you have posted for download created? thanks!
  5. hey Brad, thanks for the detailed response. I tried edit>stage setting>common edit. T1 comes up first. 2nd line in the display says "Target[Dsp Param 2]. Using the + and - buttons to scroll through all the possible values for Target, I did not find Modulation. Did I misunderstand? thanks again
  6. Hey Brad, thanks for responding. Not sure how I got there, but I have a stage setting with MellowSawLead in Zone 1, and the other zones Off. I would like to have a ‘vibrato’ effect (pitch mod?) controlled by the mod wheel. I’m actually working on “Just What I Needed” by the Cars for my cover band.
  7. how can I make the mod wheel control a vibrato in the "warm pad" setting?
  8. thanks for the help, problem solved.
  9. Regarding the warranty mentioned in the first posting, I registered my unit as soon as I got it, and received a letter saying my warranty had been extended. Then when I had a problem in the 2nd year, I called Casio and they told me if I didn't have possession of that letter (hardcopy), then I could not get warranty service. I asked them if they didn't have the information stored in their system and they said no. The person was very condescending in her tone. So all you new owners beware, save that letter! Then, I had to have the unit repaired, and it took 6 weeks to get the one section of key contacts from Casio. Just glad I still had my old keyboard because I'm gigging every weekend. This keyboard sounds pretty good and has some nice features but it's not really rugged enough for extended professional use. I am now having another issue (un-clearable error message on startup) which renders the unit useless, so am shopping for another keyboard from another manufacturer.
  10. When I power on my PX-5S, it displays an errror message "Error! No Media" and all the lights are flashing. Manual says to press Exit to clear an error message but this has no effect. There is no flash drive inserted, and I have not used the flash drive in quite some time. I can't get past this state, so the keyboard is now a paperweight. Please help!
  11. Where in the menus do I need to go to assign the pedal as the "speed switch" for the rotary? Is the DSP Rotary effect part of the Tone, or is it global to the Stage Setting (i.e., effective on "all" zones in a stage setting)? My goal would be to have a stage setting which is split, with organ under my left hand, including speed-switchable rotary, and piano under my right hand, without the rotary effect on the piano of course. Maybe using the 2nd pedal as the speed switch... like having 2 separate keyboards. also, the left-hand zone would need to be shifted up an octave or two. thanks so much for your help
  12. newbie here, sorry if this q is too dumb. I need to create a stage setting w/ organ where I can use the DSP Rotary effect and have a live control to switch it from Fast to Slow and back again. Something I'm sure most of you have already done. any pointers will be appreciated
