  1. Choppin, thank you so much for your answer. I was not sure about it but that is what I suspected. Thanks again.
  2. Hello everyone, I usually load a phrase from the pc editor however I am trying a different way to record a phrase. I have an external midi source (iPad) that transmits a drum pattern on ch 1. The midi notes messages are perfectly played by the privia, however if I try to record the pattern by using the phrase recorder, it won't record. There is any setting that I should change to make it happens? Thank you.
  3. When I bought the PX5s I was really happy with keys action. However, now is more than two years that I own the keyboard and I find that repeating notes with the privia can be rather difficult. Now, I understand that is a normal behavior of the keybed. I love all the feature of the PX5s, however I give up playing classical pieces with it. Because of that, in the future I have no intention to buy another privia. That said, I think that Casio is doing a great job and it is bringing to the market good ideas that are driving also other companies.
  4. From the specs it seems that iOS is not supported. Very likely you can.do midi over sub with a camera kit connection. For me, the fact that a data editor for iPad does not exists, is a bad marketing strategy and not respectful for all people that use iPad as a gear. For example, a midi file could be downloaded from the iPad, transferred to the mz-x500 and converted to a style without employing a Usb stick and a computer. I own a Px5s and I LOVE the keyboard but I really wish that I could use my iPad to edit the keyboard settings and I was hoping that Casio will follow this path in the next generation keyboards.
  5. Thank you Scott and BradMZ for this. I totally missed that video. Very cool use of the arpeggiator and song sequencer. Many px5s users will benefit from this post ! Thanks again guys !!!
  6. I agree guys. I have synced the arp of Px5s with an iPad drum machine and my micro-arranger. It is like heaven! Basically the arpeggiator of the px5s is so good that my arranger is only used for the bass and/or drum part with my iPad. The sounds of the px5s is filling the empty spaces and creating nice soundscapes. The other keyboard (arranger) is used only to play some solo lead on top !!! Thinking also that I should get also a xw-p1 !!!
  7. Thank you Scott, I will get them a call on Monday.
  8. Hi all, I was playing my px5s today and unfortunately one of the key died. No matter what stage setting I use, the key is mute and no midi msg is sent when the key is pressed. I registered my px5s and my warranty was extended for 1 year till dec 2015. I live in Pittsburgh and it seems that the closest authorized repair center is in OH ( over 100 miles away). Will Casio refound the shipping costs for repair ? Should I contact directly the authorized repair shop ? Please help me, my warranty will expire soon.
  9. Thanks BradMZ!! I couldn't really find it with my tablet browser. Thanks again !
  10. Can someone please upload the blade runner stage setting in the download section ? Thank you !!
  11. Hi everyone, I would like to know what members of the forum think about keys and keybed of PX5s. I really like the action of the PX5s but after one hour of playing it, I have this weird feeling that the keys are not responsive as before and I detect a lot of vibrations on central keys. Don't get me wrong, I love the action of the px5s but I would like to know your opinion. I'm concerned about lifespan of the keys and keybed. Thank you. P.S. I play my Privia only 1 hour per day
  12. Problem solved. Sync slave setting on the privia works perfectly! The midi clock was filtered out by iconnectMIDI2+. Thank you anyway for reading the post.
  13. Hi, Haggis. Welcome to the CASIO forum. Select the stage setting that you want to copy to a different location. Push the key WRiTE, then push ENTER . Then you should have on the top right the current number of stage setting (0-99) selected. If the stage setting number is not selected, employ the up arrow key (key 7) to select the number. Thick square parenthesis indicates that the stage setting number has been selected. Use knob k2 to change the stage setting or you can use -/+ keys (extreme right of the keyboard, above write button) to increment/decrement location. When you have selected the desired new location, just press ENTER to save the stage setting in the new specified location. The stage setting will have the same name. You can also change the name by editing the name before saving (push down arrow after changing stage setting number and use k2 and +/- and right arrow to editing the name). There are also videos on you tube made by Mike Martin for additional help. Just google Live Clinic px5s and you will find them.
  14. I'm trying to synch the arpeggio of an hex layer (magicx stage setting) with an external keyboard (korg microarranger) throught iconnectMIDi2+. The microarranger sends a midi clock to the ipad and the privia. The ipad app (ielectribe) that I'm using is perfectly synced with the korg microarranger ( I can even use the dial of the korg to change the tempo of the drum machine). The problem that I'm having is that when I set the synch as slave in the privia (sys setting menu) the arpeggio of the hex layer is lost and i can hear only one layer (strings). I am not sure if the privia is receiving the midi clock from the korg arranger ( I know the privia is sending chords to the arranger because is shown on the display of the korg) and I will find out with some experiments (I can change routing paths in iconnectmidi2+). However the thing that bothers me is the fact tha the arpeggio is completely lost and also other instruments when the synch is set as slave and I play a chord on the privia. I understand that the privia is waiting for a clock from an external source and possibly the clock is not received by the privia but it seems strange to me that all other hex layers sounds are muted except the string (or maybe are pads, not sure). I have more experiments to do, however I was wondering if somebody else tried to synch an arpeggio of an hex layer with an external midi clock source and was successful in controlling the parameter tempo of the arpeggio. I only tried to change the parameter synch in the sys setting menu and no other settings. There is something else that I need to change to control it ? Not sure my interpretation of the menu entry is correct. I will look at the manual, perform some other experiments and play with the settings of the privia however I would like to hear about the experience of somebody else in this forum that attempted to synch the privia with an external source. Thank you for reading this long post and hopefully I'm not asking again a question that was fully answered in the past !
  15. Hi, I bought Thor today and my first impression is really positive. A lot of nice patches and I'm able to use my korg and privia to control it. A lot of lead synths patches and two mono modes for the keyboard can be selected. You cannot go wrong for $5 (sale price right now). I didn't play much with the oscillators and synth parameters but I have employed the step sequencer which is included with the synth. If you have a drum pattern playing on a keyboard and the keyboard transmits the midi clock, some of the patches that have an arpeggio synchronize beautifully with the drum pattern. Very nice pads instruments and a lot more ! I don't own a behringer 1010 but heard good things about it. Some people in this forum are using the behringer as volume pedal for the privia and you can find an older post with more details.
