In terms of controls the PX-5 is more interesting than the current new Pianos from Casio. If you don't mind heavy keys and fewer octaves the MZ-X 500 would also be an excellent choice as it has even more controls than the PX-5S.

Any point for upgrading from CT-X5000 to MZX-300 ?
Silvano Silva replied to Just Alex's topic in MZ-X500 / MZ-X300
I agree Back in my teens at the beginning of my career, I discussed brands in a childish way. Today I just want to play I have 3 keyboards Casio MZX500 CASIO CT-X and a Roland E-50 If I get sick of the sounds, I look for other alternatives in the MZX itself and also in the Software. Today with access to social networks it is much easier to know equipment. -

Comparing CT-X with Kross and Korg PA300 is pretty dishonest. They are very different categories even if your goal is ready-made sounds. CT-X = Entry Level Arranger Pa 300 = Sampled entry level arranger Kross = Synthesizer The CT-X line has some very interesting tones for the price you'll get in much more expensive keyboards. Casio's offering in the Models CT-X and CT-S is low-cost keyboards. Your criticisms will not change anything. For Casio it would be interesting a Synthesizer 76 with heavy keys using Aix 2 with Hexalayer, sample resources and pads. This is what every Casio Fan wants. Detail you putting a demo of the PSR520 to punctuate your dissatisfaction with the CT-X sax is immoral. I've had many OLD PSRs and the sound of them makes me nauseous. Yamaha is always reheating the same AWM engine with the exception of some famous keyboards from the brand. -

Comrade, from the moment you put an arranger and synthesizer in the same category, it already demonstrates total ignorance. The MZ-X is Casio's high-end arranger-focused keyboard with many features in synthesis and sampling. The MZ-X was never a "ready made" keyboard. It is a keyboard that requires user knowledge. Putting a keyboard from decades ago like the Old PSR 520 to show your dissatisfaction with the Casio CT-X or Casio MZ-X not having the infamous and old AWM sound engine is evil. And another detail regarding the price of the Cross2-61 is on average 40% more expensive than the MZ-X500 here in Brazil. NO SAMPLED KEYBOARD OR SAMPLER PLAYER IN THE WORLD PROVIDES POSSIBLE TOOLS FOR YOU TO MAKE PERFECT SAMPLING BECAUSE IT DEMANDS THE QUESTION OF THE ORIGINAL CIRCUITS INCLUDING THE SOUND ENGINE. NOT EVEN ROLAND RE-RELEASING NEW SYNTHS WITH OLD SIMULATIONS CAN BRING THE SAME SOUND AS THE OLD JVs AND JUPITERs. In the video there is a Brazilian Roland endorser who uses Roland's newest system to "emulate" old sounds. Even with all the new technology he says in the video that the sound is close to the old JUPITER. This keyboardist keeps all the old keyboards he used in his career with the band at home, he doesn't use them on stage to avoid causing damage, as they are relics for him. I have a Roland-E50 and one day I want to sample some timbres from it but I know that I will have around 80 to 90% of the original sound. I won't have the SOUL OF THE INSTRUMENT but for me it will be very useful. As I said and I repeat if you want to know the MZ-X it won't be only in Youtube videos. -

This is a piano using 4 layers made for the MZ-X. If you want an instrument from another keyboard the best option is to sample your samples by layer. But if you don't feel like exploring, I recommend buying a Yamaha PSR. -

Yes the MZ-X 300 does not have Hexalayer but the internal editing and sample editing features are the same as the MZ-X500. I already had the MZ-X300 and today I have the MZ-X500. Casio's SAMPLE MANAGER is a READY WAVES insertion program only. Advanced editions, samples and other details you don't use Casio's SAMPLE MANAGER. Not everything you will do using Proprietary Software. But the program does accept ready-made multilayer Loops. I have two yamaha Tyros saxes in the MZ-X in addition to Trumpets Brass among others. And another detail, the price difference between the MZ-X500 and MZ-X300 is small. -

Your impression of the MZ-X is wrong. If you want a ready made instrument the MZ-X is not for you. The MZX is an expandable keyboard and therefore almost everything on it can be modified. The MZ-X's tone editor is far superior to the CT-X's. In MZ-X you can edit the complete ADSR while in CT-X you only have Attack and Release. Hexalayer is another highlight in which 6 timbres are mixed and transformed into one with layer attributes, regions, DSP. And if there isn't a tone you like on the MZ-X, you can even sample that naughty Yamaha Sax. I have the CT-X 3000 and I can say that the MZ-X has a lot more guitars than the CT-X besides having more guitars with articulations. -

I recommend you buy a Yamaha PSR. The Yamaha line is a "ready" canned product. The MZX is an expandable keyboard and each sector of it is a "Universe" of its own. If you like to explore the Casio MZ-X is the keyboard for you. The fact that the keyboard has some feature that you will not use for another user is the differential in purchasing the instrument. I've always hated those DJ functions on the PSR E line but I can't question that because there are other people who use them. There is no such thing as a perfect instrument and I myself stopped thinking about it 15 years ago. Touch screens are unavoidable especially for the endless submenu screens that are covered in the MZ-X. Boring process I think is the PX-5S with its tiny screen and few physical buttons to compensate. -
I'm the Producer at Studio F.Records. Converting Yamaha Rhythms is technically demanding and also relying on the original rhythm you hear. The original Tyros STY files are saturated with commands that the MZ-X does not interpret and the edit is resolved in two steps. The re-editing of the rhythm with suitable software and the creation of samples coming from Tyros himself. That's the only way to get a little bit of the soul of the Yamaha Rhythms

Medeli AK-X10 versus Casio MZ-X300/500
Silvano Silva replied to CasioCTK's topic in MZ-X500 / MZ-X300
In fact, the MZ-X owed many gaps. In terms of Sounds, what helps a lot with the MZ-X is its expansion and sound editing. It is a respect synthesizer where you can improve your quality on instruments a lot. And as a last resort, for those who know how to sample the MZ-X, the issue of poor sound quality is eliminated. The MZ-X is not a "ready-made" keyboard but its features even if incomplete help a lot. Casio should continue in this segment for the next professional arrangers. -
Online petition for CASIO CT-X series firmware update
Silvano Silva replied to dftx3's topic in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000
The MZX has drum kit editing capability in the same way as the PX 560. And we also have the option of mixing the keyboard's built-in drum sounds with user sampled sounds. And also the editor tunes pieces in the MZ-X that are sampled. Below in the photo I put a sampled sound and I have the option to tune it and add other features such as volume and even reverb in each piece -
Medeli AK-X10 versus Casio MZ-X300/500
Silvano Silva replied to CasioCTK's topic in MZ-X500 / MZ-X300
For me what counts in a keyboard is not only what it has on board but what it can do in terms of expansion. I have the MZ-X500 but I admit that on some issues the AKX has more expansion. An example is its Sampler memory, which, in addition to being bigger, allows you to play everything without stuttering or limitation. But even so, due to its high cost, I don't think the AKX can be compared with the MZ-X because the AKX is much more expensive here. AKX has Vocalist, and so does OTS. This is very important for live performance. -
The CT-X Line includes two categories of musicians (Especially CT-X3000 and CT-X5000) It's a keyboard with Tone editing features where anyone who plays in Band, Church and others can edit their tones working live. And it also contemplates the users of arranger keyboards where the ONE MAN A BAND enters the scene without counting on the option to create their Styles giving a great survival to the instrument. The CT-S line is from a niche of those who play in bands among others. It would make sense for the CT-S line to have a lot of fame if Casio added more editing and expansion resources, but then it wouldn't have the same acronym because keyboards with more resources would become a synthesis segment. I believe that the CT-S line was designed to be "ready" where few adjustments are required, greater portability at an appreciated sound quality. To obfuscate a keyboard like the CT-S line only if Casio releases a Workstation Synth.

Here in Brazil the MEDELI is at the current price of 1,535 dollars. The new-in-box MZ-X500 averages $863

The curious thing is that here in Brazil you can find the MZ-X500 in stores. A guy even sent me a video of a new MZ-X300 for sale at the store. MZX300 NOVO.mp4

dsp Drum Set Tone 764 EX Standard Kit With DSP Working
Silvano Silva replied to Casio Key's topic in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000
This editing features in Kits only the MZ-X has. I would be happy if in the CT-X at least one Kit could be edited the separate parts as tuning reverb pan level The CT-X has a few snares-only kits So many rich sounds that could be used in editable kits would be great- 11 replies

Registration Bank does not memorize user changes.

Quando o MZ-X não registra Timbres, Registro, etc em algumas situaçôes a reinstalação da Atualização resolve este problema.Alguns dos meus clientes resolveram assim. -
Let's admit it. I've been through several brands and arranger models and I was really amazed at what Casio did with the MZ-X. Even with some bugs and some unresolved limitations, Casio delivered a unique device in terms of Workstation with separate sessions and each MZ-X session is a Universe in terms of resources. Access the Hexalayer part and the Pad Setup part you will see a great extensive level of features. Casio has shaken the market and we hope it continues.

Here in Brazil you can buy the brand new Casio MZ-X 500 in the box. I still don't understand this Casio sales system in other countries. I think it could be two situations: 1: The MZ-X sold a lot and has no more to replace 2: The MZ-X did not sell as expected and was therefore withdrawn from the country https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-1039800134-teclado-arranjador-casio-mz-x500-61-teclas-profissional-_JM#position=1&search_layout=grid&type=item&tracking_id=613e640b-6e86-4955-a0df-830657c058f2 https://www.amazon.com.br/dp/B0831KMQ32?tag=opr-mkt-opr-br-20&ascsubtag=1ba00-01000-ubp00-win10-other-nomod-br000-pcomp-feature-rscomp-feature-rscomp&ref=aa_rscomp
