Amazing tone....my favorite piano, bar none. Running it with EQ Low Gain +10, Mid Gain +7, High Gain -10. It is full, rich and loud. This makes the concert grand that came with my PX-560 sound wimpy. Thank you SimoneCarini!!
  1. A double line has suddenly appeared on my screen (see left side of photo). It just started a few days ago. I have reset to factory defaults. Have turned off and then back on. Can't get rid of the line. Any thoughts on what to do to fix this before I file a warranty claim? Thanks.

    Expression Pedal

Thank you, Brad. That's what I needed....step by step by step.....instructions. That's what a rube like me needed.

    Expression Pedal

Yes....I did all of those things....I believe. Thank you for the information on the potentionmeter. I figured it was something like that. Am I correct that the expression pedal is suppose to adjust the sound of the Upper 2 instrument? If not, then what does it control? I've not use an expression pedal before and I believe I watched Mike adjust the sound level in his video. Unfortunately, I find the manual to be very sparse in guidance. Is there a resource that will explain all the nuances of the various sound adjustments available on modern day keyboards? Thanks for your help.

    Expression Pedal

So, I go out and purchase the Roland EV-5 pedal. Carefully follow the directions in the manual on how to select it to be the expression pedal and then going to the controller and following the directions on calibrating the pedal. I put GrPianoConcert on Upper 1 and StreoString1 on Upper 2. Then I hit and hold a key, move the pedal up and down and get no change at all to the strings. I notice there is a knob on the pedal calibrated 0 to 10. Perhaps I had that set incorrectly. I move the knob from zero to 5. Still no change. I move it to 10. No change. So then I start all over and reselect the pedal as expression, set the knob on the pedal at 5, recalibrate the pedal following the manual instructions. Still no change when playing a note and moving the pedal. Help!!! What am I missing here? Thank you for your help.
  5. After watching Mike Martin's very informative PX-560 video, I started to shop for an expression pedal. The three listed in the PX-560 manual on page EN-10 (Roland EV-5, Kurzweil CC-1, and Fatar) have really mixed reviews online. It seems the Yamaha FC7 and the Moog ACCEP003 EP3 are the most favorably rated. I also see some pedals are high impedance while others are low impedance. I can't find where the PX-560 manual addresses this requirement. In your experience, what pedal(s) works best with a digital keyboard.....specifically, the PX-560. Thanks for helping me sort this out.

    PX-560

Thank you, Brad. I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure this out and almost got there. I missed the DSP step since I stopped when all I saw was Reverb Send, Chorus Send, Delay Send. I have followed your steps and see that the manual saw to go to page EN-34 to edit the DSP parameters. I missed that step when searching on my own. My problem is I am unfamiliar with much of the terminology involved. For example, Portamento, Compressor, Limiter, Enhancer, Early Reflection, Phaser, etc. I do have much to learn and will be searching for a book on to help my learning. I do hope Mike will run a series of videos for the 560 like he did for the PX-5S. That would be really helpful for those of us who are coming from less sophisticated keyboards. My main keyboard, with the exception of a few months being mystified by the PX-5S, was a PX-330. All I had to do there was push a button for Grand Piano or E. Piano and I was good to go. However, I am determined to learn how to take advantage of the features of the 560. Thanks again for being there.

    PX-560

Is there a way to edit a piano tone to lock in a EQ Mid or High Gain? I need to adjust the mid gain by -6 to on piano dolce to reduce some of the brightness. I cannot seem to figure out how to do this. Is it possible to adjust it somewhere to make this a permanent adjustment? Thanks for your help.

    PX-560

Thank you, Brad. That worked perfectly. I just spent some more time searching the manual and found the answer on page EN-62. Can't explain why I couldn't find it last night. Thanks again for your help.
