  1. Hi Mike, Yes, the Px-5s is being monitored in stereo. I have had this issue of the effect coming and going in and out when monitoring with headphones directly from the headphone jack, from stereo outs to my mixer with headphones, and with the mixer and a pair of stereo powered speakers. Also have tried it with a different pair of headphones. Bill
  2. Brad I will try moving the location. I have tried downloading the patch from the downloads section and installing with the editor, but this did not seem to help. I do have the Alt file loaded and have moved the stage settings around. Bill
  3. The light on the Arpeggio select flashes, but sometimes the effect is very present panning hard left and right and sometimes it is not there at all. Other Rhodes patches that have panning but that do not use the Arepeggio function still demonstrate panning effect.
  4. Brad, Yes, I am running v. 1.13 firmware. Any other thoughts?
  5. I am wondering if any other users have experienced an issue with stage settings that use the arpeggio function? Specifically I am finding that when I select the stage settings for SWeingart Rhodes or Herbie Roadz that the panning function sometimes works and sometimes is not there. I have tried a variety of headphones and cables, but nothing seems to be at the root of the issue. Sometimes I can switch the Px-5s off and it will be back and other times it is still missing. Do you think this might an issue with the hardware? The basic Rhodes sound is there, but the panning effect is missing. Thanks, Bill
  6. Hi Mike, I just download this file and I am a bit confused. It says that it contains Jerry Kovarsky's 7 variations on the RoadzMKAmped preset, but when looking at the file names in the folder I downloaded, it contains files for Bark Reed, Clav DrySl, D6AmpdJK, and MK1EP-S3JK2. These four files would seems not to be variations of the RoadzMKAmped preset. Am I missing something here/ Thanks, Bill Whittaker
  7. Hi, Just wanted to say that I purchased Dave's new AP sounds for the Px-5s and used them at a gig last Saturday. I found myself using Gig Piano #! almost exclusively. It is fantastic in a band mix. My band has three guitar players (two electric and one acoustic) and the piano cut through all of that mid-range clutter. My bandmates were throughly impressed with both my new Px-5s and Dave's awesome programming. I had been using a Kronos 61exclusively and this is no slouch in the AP department, but my bandmates can not stop talking about how much they enjoy the sound of the Casio. I should mention that I am running mono into a single Yamaha DXR 10 speaker. The send to he house is obviously mono as well. I also want to commend Dave for excellent and friendly service. Ordering the sounds on Paypal was a simple process and he made me feel as if my thoughts and opinions mattered. A truly first rate experience from top to bottom. If you gig with a loud or dense music ensemble than you need these pianos. Buy them!!
  8. Hey Joe, The only visitors to Maine are moose and vacationers from the " North". Bill
  9. Hi Mark, Thanks for your reply. We met a few weeks ago when I demoed your PX-5s . I had initially posted this as a PM to Mike on the Keyboard Corner forum and thought maybe Mike did not check PM's over there. He has since responded to my post and has assured me that they would find someone in Maine to do their authorized repairs. Thanks again, Bill
  10. Hi Mike, I am asking this question as a potential buyer of the PX-5s and not a current owner. I noticed on a recent thread about servicing a KC member's. Px-130 that you linked the authorized service centers. I decided to find my nearest service center and discovered that Maine has no listing. Would that mean that I would need to ship my keyboard out of state for repair? Are there services that would be sub-contracted our in state? I know that your commitment to customer service is extrodinary, but I would have to think twice about owning a gigging instrument that finding service for would be a challenge. Kind Regards, Bill Whittaker
  11. Scott, Thank you for the kind welcome to the forum. The Gator 88 Slim ATA looks like it will do the trick. I do agree they are pricey, but I use a similar Gator for my Kronos 61. I do wish that the external length of the case was not so long (60" according to specs on Sweetwater) and 29 lbs is a bummer, but it does look to be the smallest and strongest option for the PX-5S. Thanks again, Bill
  12. Hi, I am considering purchasing a PX-5s and wondered what hardshell cases are recommended for this model? My gear gets packed in an "undersized band trailer and would not survive in a gig bag. It seems that many of the 88 key cases are considerably longer and wider than the PX-5s. i would also like to keep the weight of the case down. Any suggestions of brands or models that others have used? Is there a 76 key case that would match the PX-5s' dimensions? Thanks for any help you can offer. Bill
