  1. Thank you. Very good point. The reason for my post was that Casio looks at my post, maybe. Yes, They can update their software. You know what bothers me? The people who designed the software in Casio acted some how not perfect. For instance what if you could see the the tones that are assigned to the pads, I mean the part section. What if you could copy the whole style rather than just an element such as for instance variation 1, etc. As I mentioned before I have a Korg Pa 600, and the way that they have designed the software is perfect. Every thing is connected to each other,, and very easy to choose, and adjust, and you do not have to go back in order to choose a tone, or an element, and then again come back, so on. The reason I bought Casio MZx-500 was that it has some sound features that Korg does not have, like hex layer, or arpeggio, also styles ,But the main thing is that the designers of the Casio could do much much a better job.
  2. This is really sad. Why Casio calls the drum kits , sampling,? If they are drum kits , then they are drum kits , why calling them sampling ? You could assign drum kits to the pads without naming them sampling. The main idea is that say you want per say to sample an ethnic instrument sound that is unique, and does not exist in tone list of Casio. Then you wanted to play that instrument as a tone using the keys. Now you can not. you only can hear the sampled sound on the pads. Casio has some flaws in its software. Consider event edit. Go to the page , and you want to edit events. while you can edit an event, but there is not any way that you can hear individual events as they occur. I have a Korg Pa 600 also, and there is a huge difference between how the software on Korg has been very nicely designed vs. Casio., Like when go to event edit, as you highlight individual event, you will hear that event , which gives you the idea where are you exactly, and edit it right away. Seems from all the answers that I got every body is content, and not asking Casio why Casio is not in depth into making well thought software design.
  3. Yes, You are correct, but what if like you could record a sample, and the same way that you can assign the drum kits, you could assign your recorded sample to upper part? That was really great.
  4. When you record a sample , and assign it to a pad, It was nice if you could assign the sampled sound to upper one section so you could play your sample on the keys as you play the keyboard. It seems that the recorded sampled tone just can be assigned to the pads, and not to the keyboard keys. Any idea is greatly appreciated.
  5. When you finish recording, Casio MZ-X500 will save your MIDI recordings as ZMF. What it means is that you can not use your recordings on another brand of keyboards such as Korg .. etc. that accepts Midi file format 0. Meanwhile in the user manual page 61 Casio says that : ■ Types of Data MIDI recorder is stored on a USB flash drive as-is or stored as a MIDI file (SMF format 0). This is not true. It stores as ZMF. Any help greatly appreciated.
  6. Hello I can record a rhythm part for instance Intro1 from Casio CTK-7200 to an external MIDI software, and then edit the part. My question is that after edditing, HOW CAN I LOAD THE EDITED PART FROM MIDI SOFTWARE INTO THE KEYBOARD ? What buttons to push, and what is the procedure? Thank you very much for any help.
  7. I have a Korg Pa 600, and a Casio CTK 4400. I wonder if any body has tried to convert ckf files to Korg styles?. All you have done is to convert korg styles to casio ckf, but how about ckf to Korg styles? You may have some ideas.
  8. Thank you for your info. It is really sad that there is not such a luxury.I think casio at least could include the original factory default rhythms at Casio music site. I emailed Casio support, well if they listen.
  9. Hello I have a casio CTK-671. The rhythms on this keyboard are designed so beautiful ( like electro pop, etc.). In newer models like CTK -4400,or CTK -7200 unfortunately , they have changed the configurations of the rhythms to the worse, that still I do not understand why?. I am trying to transfer the original factory default rhythms that exist on the casio CTK-671, to the CTK-4400. I checked the casio music site, and downloaded the rhythms that are at the site for CTK -671, and transferred to the CTK-400, but they are not original factory default rhythms of CTK-671.They are just additional rhythms. I am wondering if I can use data manager to download the rhythms from the CTK-671 keyboard itself , so I can transfer them to CTK-4400. I wonder if this is practical? I wished that Casio in their music site also added a page as original keyboard rhythms. I wish that someone from casio reads my comments, and mention it to people who manage the Casio music site. It was a blessing if I could download all the original factory default Rhythms of CTK-671 from casio music site Any help is appreciated.
