There's another forum with the same problem. Someone hinted that running the demo reversed the problem. But then, I couldn't use the pedal correctly. I guess that's a common problem with this model, but haven't got to a solution; and with the covid, etc. couldn't get a technician to see it.

I'm having this with a CDP S100. So sad that it doesn't work, I fear that other of my Casio keyboards present the same issue (hopefully not)!

(Solved) Casio cdp s-100 stuck on sustain with no reason

I'm with the same issue. But can't solve it like that , also although playing the demo does reverse the sustain on-off, the pedal doesn't work. I'm using a Casio SP-3 pedal, working well with my XWP1. I guess it's a repair in my case.- 22 replies

Stage Settings made with the idea of loosely approximating the Roland RD1000 digital piano or MKS-20 module (I don't have one but compared the sound with a Roland JV module that has some samples of it). It doesn't sound the same, but does quite a good job for 80s ballads, I guess. Demo -

Mount four presets on one performance (midi channels 1-4). Then use the mixer button and the part buttons to change between each one. You can also create an empty rhythm pattern , but saving the instruments that you want (channels 8-16) If you have to make splits: save one on each performance.

Hey, I bought recently a second-hand LK 240. I also have an XWG1 and P1, and do some gigs with the P1 and a sound module. I want my P1 back (it stays where the band rehearses), and maybe the LK240 is a good option. I thought it's pretty good, and lightweight, a simple keyboard for gigging with an external sound module (although I would have needed to get a midi host adapter, as it only has USB Midi), or casual playing in parties with the internal sounds, as some are quite good. However, I came out with a problem: the Function menu, which has a lot of pages, goes out and the keyboard returns to Tone, song or rhythm mode in a few seconds. I really depend on the midi channel change option, as in some songs that I play have to change sounds quickly. Is there a way to: a) Freeze the screen into that screen, so I can change it quickly, without having to scroll through menus; or b) Change midi channels with an external, cheap device? c) Maybe there is another low/medium-end Casio keyboard with those same features but that won't have this limitation, (and maybe MIDI DIN and a pitch bend 🤣 )(even if it's a little bit old)? Thanks in advance.

There is a VOX continental type of sound Hex Layer in the downloads, might help

I've got an XW-P1, quite happy with its workings. Something I haven't quite learned to do is how to make the volumes of each performance more or less even with each other (stacking a Hex Layer and four drums makes it quite louder, something that is not always what I want). Sometimes, in the gig, I have to turn the volume knob up or down quite a lot with some tracks. I guess that I could lower the volume of those loud performances within programming, but haven't been round to how to even the volumes out of 50 performances. Any tips for better programming? I Guess that this issue could apply to any other keyboard, but post here as there may be a solution using the interface of the XW ... Cheers

Also, the drums are changed for an organ, or a piano, don't know if there's a way to change it back...

I checked that out with some midi files I downloaded from the internet, and you can use any sound from channel 1 (being it a hex layer, solo synth, or pcm tone that you choose before entering player mode, you can't change it while you play the midi file).

I tried to play a wav file from the SD card some time ago,and entering the player I could only use the solosynth 0-0. Not sure if it's the same with MIDI files.
