  1. Mike, do you happen to know if there is anything going on regarding any 76-key development? There is nothing in the current lineup. The CT-S line sounds and looks great, but there is no 76-key version, the same with the PX-S lineup.
  2. Looks more like Casio dropped making a PX-5S successor. With the new tech and maybe a less plasticky build, for around 1200-1500 bucks, Casio could have a winner. Oh, and get rid of that awful display ...
  3. I would have liked a much better display in the new PX lineup. It just looks out of place in the stylish environment. It's 2022, not the 1990s anymore. And if you pay over 1500 bucks at least for the S6000 or the S7000, it would have been mandatory to include a better display, oh, and that cheap pedal does not vibe with me either. Why, Casio, do you do it? FYI - I wanted to buy the S6000, replacing my trusty old PX-5S which has keyboard issues. Maybe you could do this: When using a smartphone or tablet while navigating the menu options, would it be possible to turn off the display when doing so? If not now, maybe it could be included in a future firmware update. Other than that, a white, non-glossy option would have been nice for the S6000. I already made my dealer aware of the new lineup. Maybe he'll include it soon.
  4. Ok, the thread is old, but here goes: Great review!
  5. I always use rechargeable ones in my PX-5S. Never had an issue. I use Eneloops only and a slow charger. The runtime may be not as long as when using non-rechargeable ones, but I save a ton of money and don't harm the environment so much. Other companies do not differentiate so strongly between usage of chargeable and non-rechargeable batteries. Why Casio does this, I don't know. But be warned: Use rechargeable ones at your own risk!
  6. I don't have a PX-360, but maybe this helps: In the manual, it says you need to touch Main, then Duet. To turn Duet off, touch it again. You can see it here, starting at around 4:10 min.:
  7. Or he/she asks if the PX-5S gets a replacement in 2018. My crystal ball is broken, so I can't answer that. ;-) Then again, it would be great for Casio to at least give us an idea of anything to be developed, as in saying 'We're curently developing a successor. It will be ready when it is ready.'
  8. Hmmm ... would be interesting to see what the advantages/disadvantages of a CT-X5000 compared with an MZ-X300 are. The prices are similar IMHO. MZ-X300 has 128 polyphony.
  9. Yeah, that is steep. Normally manufacturers take the US$ price and use the same number for EUR, but around 70% higher price than in the US? Casio should rethink that. EDIT: Btw, the WK-7600 is cheaper right now in Germany (€335) compared with the US where it costs around €358 ($449). ;-)
  10. Interesting ... maybe can replicated on my WK-7600? I might try that out in the next few days ...
  11. Audio demos from Poland: Ok, I could go on again about missing keys - would have liked 76 of them -, then again: I have a small setup using a Korg MicroKey keyboard with 61 keys together with a tablet or smartphone. But imagine this: even the cheaper version costs around 140 bucks. Hmmm ... tempting to replace that setup. ;-) EDIT: Oh my, in Germany it costs €249 ($311). That is steep compared with the $179 mentioned for the US.
  12. Still Casio could have provided an option for WK7600 users or potential 76 key users. A CT-X7000 would have been nice. I'm currently using my WK7600 with the built-in sounds and together with Pianoteq. No need to upgrade for me within the Casio models.
  13. So they all have 61 keys? No WK-7600 successor? And the CT-X5000 will cost around 500 bucks but still has only 64 notes polyphony? Weird ... Looks like my PX-5S and WK-7600 will stay a while longer.

  18. You can set Auto Power Off (called APo) in the system settings. It needs to be "off". According to the manual, on p. 19, these are the steps to access APo:
  19. Hmmm ... it's not even featured at casio.co.uk: http://www.casio.co.uk/products/electronic-musical-instruments/ EDIT: Looks like bax-shop.co.uk is your best bet when you want someone based in the UK (Kent) selling MZ-X500's: https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/keyboards/casio-mz-x500-keyboard
  20. I like Latin Music and found this great sounding live clip on YouTube, so let's reanimate this thread. Ralph Irizarry & Timbalaye feat. Adan Perez on a Casio - it's a Privia, no idea what one:
