No square waves used Made entirely of Jupiter and Reverse Saw waves. The even harmonics are trying to cancel each out, so the odd harmonics are much louder, giving a squarish sound.

A PAD sound made by me. Only 4 layers are active. The song begins with a little modification: layer 5 finetune 60, later I change it back do the default value of 59.

VA Thing+ Hex Layer
Upgrade to my "VA Thing" patch. Layers 1, 3, 4 are the same. Currently layers 1, 3, 4 and 5 are active. Add the rest with the sliders, or combine the layers for different sounds.

Singing Bell Hex Layer
A "nice" sound. All layers are on max volume, but I usually play in this order:
- only layers 1, 3, 4 are active
- add layer 2 (bell)
- add layer 5 (saw/strings)
- add layer 6 ("doo" voice).
You can of course combine them as You like.

Callisto Hex Layer
Variations:
-detune 16 (just set the knob in the middle)
-detune 4, lower the cutoff a little, and play "Calypso" from Jean-Michel Jarre (maybe not the same sound but I played that song a lot with this tune, hence it is "Callisto" not "Calypso" )
-detune 1, DSP PARAM B set to 0, KNOB K4 to 0

Saw Lead, Saw Lead II, Tyrian, VA Thing
Tones from a beginner
All tones except VA Thing are made by layering the same wave and playing with detune and fine tune.
"Tyrian" is an attempt to emulate the sound from Alexander Brandon's music from the good old space shooter, Tyrian 2000. Set the cutoff to -40 for a more subtle tone.
VA Thing is a bit unfinished, since it uses only 3 layers, the others are muted or turned off.
Any constructive suggestions on how to improve these sounds are more than welcome.
