  1. New to me anyway. 😉 I was watching a demo of the new CT-X5000 and saw you could press both TEMPO up and down buttons simultaneously to set the default tempo for the current rhythm. Tried it on the X500 and it worked! I had been using the ONE TOUCH function, but that also changes the Upper 1 tone, so I would usually just manually adjust the tempo to taste. Now, if we could program the One Touch tone per rhythm for each Intro, Variation, etc .... sigh.
  2. X500 had MIDI out clock added in version OS 1.40 There is no clock in.
  3. Many, These folks also have a free version. I'm checking that out now. The free version is VERY basic. 😉
  4. I searched a bit and found this one KARAOKE 5 .. I downloaded it and it seems pretty nice. LINK = https://www.karaoke5.com/
  5. You'll need to contact the author directly ... lwow@mail.ru
  6. I own the Korg PA600. Although the PA600 does have a couple of features that I really like and wish were on my X500, the poor PA600 collects dust (metaphorically) while I do all my playing on the X500 and my Korg Kronos 2. Oh! the 2 features I miss from the PA600? 1. The ability to rewrite/customize factory sounds and styles. 2. One touch settings for each element within every style. (now called 'Keyboard Set' on the PA700)
  7. Convert to what? AC7 files can be directly loaded by X300-500
  8. 8A87EF0A18FDB8C28E24ED36CDC6A1C8 = MZ-X500_updater-160.zip 79A83F9D4DE1B456447FD359A61AF5D6 = Update.bin
  9. Definitely sounds like Chick Corea 😉
  10. Just do a ZAL backup first, then update. It will go fine.
  11. I had the great fortune to meet Arthur Rubinstein as a high school student when he came to my town for a concert circa 1960. It was after school hours and I was practicing a Bach piece on the school's concert grand. This gentleman walked down the aisle of the auditorium and stood behind me. "Go on", he said. As I played he gave me gentle corrections to my posture and hand positions. To this day I remember his quiet grace and encouragement. I learned the next day who the gentleman was and that he had come the previous evening to practice on our Steinway. That encounter spoke reams about this man's character. Other artists would have told me to leave, but he chose to teach. His was a very gentle soul.
  12. I had piano training as a child for several years, but found practicing Bach pieces on the pipe organ helped to develop my abilities to play other genres tremendously. 😉
  13. I've added the 1.60 Firmware update information to the Combined Manual. It is on page 236 of the new document. I've tagged the filename with the today's date. Combined Manuals with Rev 1.60 info added
  14. Had no sound from X500 after upgrade. Had to do Factory Reset to get sound back. Phew!
  15. Thank Brad! I keep forgetting that there is really useful information tucked away at the end of that file. Time to update the Combined PDF ;-)
  16. Got my hopes up that there would updated User Manual incorporating all the updates since 1.10 I think part of the issue that users have with documentation of the MZ keyboards is that the docs are spread out over many files and in many cases new functionality is only hinted at. Makes it more difficult to truly understand the instruments.
  17. Apparently there is no NEW user manual, but a Firmware Update PDF ?
  18. Looks like the 'User Manual' PDF link is pointing to the Firmware PDF
  19. After changing the file type to MID to test play the style, did you change the file type back to the original?
