  1. Awesome!! That does work. I actually hooked it up to my PX5S and it works perfectly with the PX5S as the slave. Immediately syncs to any stage setting with an Arpeggiator without having to adjust anything. Thanks for your help. I got some toying around to do now. Maybe I can run the MZ as the master and slave the 505 and PX5S with my quadra midi thru. 😮😮😁😁
  2. Thanks for your help. I was wondering why I couldn't get it to work. lol It will control the 505 but it changes tempo every time I change a registration so I don't want that. Is it possible to have it run as the master but not change my loop tempo every time I switch registrations?
  3. I need help. I'm attempting to connect my Boss RC 505 looper via midi to my MZX 500. The MZ doesn't seem to be reading the signal though. My idea is to have the looper as the master and the MZ as the slave and then be able to match tempos and rhythms easily as I create loops without having to match them up manually. Possibly even use the pads functions that are already tied to the tempo of the rhythm as well. Has anyone ever done this before? I switched the cable around and made the MZX the master but then there is a noticeable delay when looping.
  4. Now that will certainly help!! Thanks again.
  5. Thanks Lobbard. I'm going to go back in and try it tonight. What manual did you get this information from? I don't see this in my MZ X500 manual?
  6. Question all. Does anyone know where I can find a good video or instruction on how to create user arpeggios on the MZ X500? I've gone to the user arpeggio spot on the keyboard and I clicked edit. Once I'm there I'm not really sure what I'm looking at or what to do next. I think I even created an arpeggio last night but I don't know how I did it. lol Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Appreciate your advice Chris. I was attempting to make a backing track however I've decided to just recreate the song on the MZ - X500 and create my own backing track. It should be fun!!
  8. Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to go home tonight and test it out with a mic just to make sure it works. If it does than I know that the vocals in the recording must not be center panned.
  9. Ok I'm having an issue understanding how to use the Center Cancel function. I have recorded my wave file and I've loaded it on to the flash drive. I inserted the flash drive into the MZ X500. It will play the file. I push Center Cancel and It appears to start playing the file again but I can't hear anything? I go back and hit play again and it just plays it through again however nothing has changed. What steps am I missing to get it to Center Cancel on a selected wave file?? I'm sure there is a simple step i'm missing here but any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
  10. Jeez!! I don't know how I didn't see that before. Thanks Lobbard.
  11. Hello all. Does the the MZ X 500 have Music Presets like the CTK 7200? If so how do I get to them?? Thanks for your help.
  12. Thanks Ted. Yes I was asking the latter. I realize now that I can't save a layered tone ( one that I created) as a user tone however I can save it as part of a registration which works just as well. Heck I've got 96 of 'em!! lolol Thanks again for your help P.S. I just bought an MZ X 500. OMG!! I love that board and I'm learning that the functionality and workflow is very similar to the CTK 7200 so I'm picking it up pretty fast.
  13. Hello. Is there a way to save a layered tone ( 2 tones put together) as a User tone on the CTK 7200? Thanks fro your help.
  14. Working on the Pattern Sequencer in the CTK 7200. I seem to have forgotten how to change the number of measures I want my pattern to be. The default is four measures but I want it to go 8,12 or maybe even 16 depending on what I want to create. I know it's possible because I've done it before but last night I could not figure out how to get back to that screen for the life of me. I've looked in the manual and it doesn't appear to address it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

  17. My rendition of "I heard the Bells on Christmas day." Arranged and performed on my Casio CTK 7200. This song is on my Christmas cd "This Time of Year." You can hear other songs on the cd on my website www.terenceyoungnow.com. I heard the bells on christmas day final master 1.mp3
  18. Thanks Silvano. I thought I had followed all of these directions and it still didn't recognize it. I'm going to go at it again tonight. I appreciate your help.
  19. How do I connect my CTK 7200 with Reaper. I have a standard USB/MIDI cable however it doesn't seem like Reaper is recognizing my keyboard. Has anyone else had this problem. I'm also asking this question on the Reaper forums as well. Thanks for your help.
  20. Ok so I'm finally starting to figure out how this pattern sequencer works on my CTK 7200. My question is how can I use the mixer and sliders to control individual tracks while playing back my rhythm that I created. For example if I create a rhythm using 6 different tracks each with a different instrument. Drums, Bass, Keys, Synths, Guitar, Brass. On playback how can I take out the drums and just leave the Synths and other instruments playing and vice versa to create dynamics within the song. I believe it's possible because I saw a guy on Youtube doing it on a CTK 7000. Not sure if this ability has changed with the 7200 model? When I attempted to do it my sliders kept changing my instruments and that's not what I wanted to happen. I just want to be able to take out the guitar and then add it back in or take out the drums and then add them back in on the fly. There are two reasons I want to do this. 1) Creating a recording that already has those dynamics in it before transferring over to my DAW ( Because as far as I know I can't make these kinds of adjustments in my DAW because all of the tracks are sent over as just one track via Datamanager). 2) For creativity and fun during live playback and performing Is there a way to do this during playback on the CTK 7200 for an original rhythm that was created with the Pattern Sequencer? Thanks for your help.
  21. Thank you Ted. That answered my question. I was thinking I needed to delete it because it was taking up space on the keyboard. From now on I will just overwrite with new rhythms.
  22. Simple question. how do i delete a user rhythm?? I can't seem to find the answer in my manual. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  23. Worked like a charm Ted!! I'm figuring this thing out now... This forum has been priceless to me. I'm so glad I joined. Thanks for your help.
