What I'm trying to do using the 7200 is to record a tomtom drumbeat that I can export in a format that I can use on my laptop. Then I can use it as a background beat for my ukulele group. My problem is that I only use the various functions very rarely so I don't get the chance to familiarise myself with them. Consequently I find myself struggling (again) when I come to use them again. Think of the tomtom in the opening sequence of Apache. I have the voice that I want to use but I just haven't succeeded in recording a sequence of it. Yes, I've looked at the manual but all I got was a headache. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Ted Thanks for that excellent explanation. I hadn't explored that far yet. As I get older I find that my learning ability is slowing up and I have to take things very slowly to get them to register. Coming into keyboards at 73 after only ever playing guitars has been a real culture shock, but enjoyable as my desire to learn hasn't diminished like my learning ability has.

The 7200 is a bit of a culture shock after the 1300 I've been using, but I'm slowly working my way through the manual and trying to learn the functions as I go. I have a reference to a large number of drums but I haven't found any information on how to access them. Any help appreciated but try to keep it simple so that I can understand it. Thanks

Thanks BradMZ. I've no doubt there will be questions asked. Just going through the manual now and they seem to be slanted more to people who know what they're doing, rather than beginners.

Hello I'm just getting into keyboards, after too many years of thinking about it, and have a 7200 and it's a whole new world. So, apart from haunting this board for tips, tricks and how to perform basic operations, I will be asking some (apparently) stupid questions, but it's all down to being new to this sort of thing. So, bearing that in mind, please be patient with me.
