  1. @Robbbb, If you click on any of Reg MidiStage's demo links you get the message: iOS (loading file only): Use Web MIDI Browser from the App Store. I use the Web MIDI browser app with my iPad to access my CT-S1 sounds with MidiStage and works great. I posted a while back that I use it for my worship sets. I normally set up and save my MidiStage preset file using Chrome browser on my desktop computer then I copy the .json file to my iPad and load file from MidiStage in the Web MIDI browser on my iPad. I connect to CT-S1 with Lightning to USB adapter connected to a USB to micro USB cable.
  2. I have had the same intermittent problem too, and so far the speakers have always eventually worked again after inserting and removing a headphone connector. Sometimes it takes a couple tries.
  3. I know you can change tones, but I am not sure if detune is available via MIDI. Based on the CT-S1 MIDI Implementation Chart near the end of the manual, it does not seem System Common-->Tune can be transmitted or recognized (X for both in the chart). Have any other CT-S1 users been able to access controls to detune via MIDI? https://support.casio.com/en/manual/manualfile.php?cid=008023005
  4. No, it does not add additional reverb/chorus. In your example, when you turn it all the way to the left, you will have adjusted it to zero. You should be able to hear this if you experiment. I will use an example using registrations. Say I saved a guitar registration with reverb at 50 and chorus at 25. No matter what the two knobs on the left are set at, when you recall the registration the sound will play with reverb at 50 and chorus at 25. This will hold true until you move any of the knobs. Once you move any knob (either the reverb or chorus), it will then set the reverb or chorus to the level percentage of the knob. I hope that makes sense. This is how it works on my keyboard. I should also say that I am not sure if adjusting any of the freeze settings would change this behavior. Hopefully I understood your question correctly, but if not, please respond back. Thanks.
  5. It is my understanding all the tones on the CT-S1 are included on the CT-S1000V. I love the default standard piano tone on the CT-S1 and am considering getting the CT-S1000V but want to be sure the same standard piano tone is on the CT-S1000V. However, I read some comments on this YouTube video that claimed the default piano tone on the CT-S1 was different or not present(?) in the CT-S1000V. I am not sure if this is true or an error by the people who posted. Can anyone confirm? Thank you.
  6. Many thanks to @Reg MidiStage for developing this, sharing it with us, and working with us to add new instruments. This is one of the reasons why I love this forum.
  7. Check out this thread: You may want to try MidiStage. Casio Forum Member Reg MidiStage created MidiStage web-based app that I have used with the CT-S1 to select CT-S1 sounds and GM sounds with the ability to layer them too. I used MidiStage with my iPad and CT-S1 the other day for a small group worship time and was able to create layered presets for each song (some with four sounds at once including a mix of CT-S1 and GM sounds, some with keyboard splits, and one for keyboard drums). I just set up the presets and pressed the desired preset for each song. My iPad is wired directly to my CT-S1 (I use a USB to Lightning adapter too). Be sure to click on his link and read the welcome message and quick intro on how to set it up. I needed to load an app on my iPad to get it to work.
  8. I don't think this is possible on the Casio PX-S3000 alone. I tried a couple of ways and was not able to do it. You probably need two devices like you mentioned.
  9. @Reg MidiStage I just sent you the file for the Casio PX-S3000. If you have time to add that would be great. By the way, I used MidiStage with my iPad and CT-S1 the other day for a small group worship time and was able to create layered presets for each song (some with four sounds at once including a mix of CT-S1 and GM sounds, some with keyboard splits, and one for keyboard drums). I just set up the presets and pressed the desired preset for each song. Thank you again for creating this and sharing it with us.
  10. @Piano Tone: It is a little tough to hear the layered voice from your video, but I think the note is actually sounding. I tested on mine and seems to be working as expected. I boosted the layered string sound compared to the piano main sound and played the A note over and over, and I can hear the strings over piano with sustain pedal depressed. 20211009_182955.mp4
  11. This is great! Thanks Reg MidiStage for creating this. Would it be possible to add the PX-560, PX-S3000, and CT-S1? I'd love to try it on these keyboards. I sent you the CT-S1 file and will work on the others when I have time. Thank you.
  12. I've looked but so far have not found any other drum kits beside the GM standard set.
  13. I like this keyboard so much that I've started to use it in my small setting worship band. I'd like to be able to hear the Casio CT-S1 speakers when simultaneously using the headphone output to a sound system. Is there any way to enable the speakers when the output jack is used? The speakers are really excellent and would be great monitors. If this is not available now, would it be possible to add this feature in an update?
  14. Hi shep, I uploaded a No Sound bank on the Downloads page a while back. This was not a split, but I just turned off the entire keyboard volume so it would transmit MIDI signals but no sound from PX-S3000. I use it with VSTs. There is an option to split keyboard and adjust levels of Upper 1 Volume, Upper 2 Volume, and Lower Volume (page EN-17 in manual). Just turn off the part(s) you don't want to hear from PX-S3000. Try the last two banks in the attached registration that have splits (one with PX-S3000 sound on left and no sound on right but sends MIDI signals and the other is flipped). Ignore the first two banks as those were just default sounds. I tried it with Reaper DAW and it seems to work. I can play any VST with no PX-S3000 sound on left and PX-S3000 sounds on right or vice versa. I hope that makes sense. You can hopefully tweak it some more to fit your needs. SPL_REG.RBK
  15. In case anyone is interested, I uploaded a Reaper DAW patch script in the Downloads page (Downloads-->Other Casio Products-->Casio CT-S1 Patch Script for Reaper DAW). I couldn't find a CT-S1 section in the Download page, so I thought I'd post it here too since it is somewhat hidden.

I created a Reaper DAW patch script for the Casio CT-S1. You can upload the patch script in Reaper and then select GM sounds, CT-S1 sounds, and even a standard drum kit to use! If you use a different DAW, I think you should be able to tweak the file to a format that your DAW can read. Enjoy.
  17. Another review of the Casio CT-S1. I got one and love it. It is so portable, and the sounds are excellent. The speakers may be small but very clear and full. No distortion even at max volume. Outstanding value and so fun to carry around and use.
  18. Yes, you can record midi data in a DAW from the CT-S1. You need to use a micro USB to USB Type A connector. Connect the micro USB end to the USB to Host port on the CT-S1 and connect the other end to a USB port on your computer. The computer should automatically recognize the keyboard as a midi device. I've connected it and it works fine with Reaper. I'm sure it will work with other DAWs. You should also be able to receive midi data from the DAW to select and trigger the CT-S1 sounds (it also has General MIDI sound set). I haven't had a chance to dig deeper into its MIDI capabilities, but here is another thread related to this topic:
  19. This is outstanding! Thank you and everyone who contributed to developing and sharing this.
  20. @Shep, I'm curious if your issue has improved at all or if you are still having the problem. I've had my PX-S3000 for almost two years and don't recall having this issue. I've used AC, AA batteries, and an external battery (by the way this is a great option as I can run outdoors for more than 6 hours) and never had a problem.
  21. That's great you got it replaced. My replaced keyboard assembly is now at 5 months and still working great with no issues.
  22. @anba: Sorry to hear you are having a noise issue too. I sent an email to the person at Casio that helped with shipping the replacement keyboard assembly to me back in October 2020 to ask if there was a fix for this issue, but I never received a response. He may only be involved with service issues and may not know about design changes or improvements. In light of your experience, I hope mine does not develop it again. So far it has been working great after the replacement, and it has been about 3.5 months with no issues. I hope you are able to get it resolved soon.

I modified the GrPnoConcert again and this time added Stereo3BndEQ DSP. Each area registration uses the same sound but the Knob assignments are different to get a variety of different piano flavors. Adjust K1 and K2 to taste. 1. Modified GrPnoConcert using Stereo3BndEQ (K1 cutoff freq, K2 resonance) - turn K1 down for a more mellow sound 2. Modified GrPnoConcert using Stereo3BndEQ (K1 brilliance, K2 reverb send) 3. Modified GrPnoConcert using Stereo3BndEQ (K1 chorus send, K2 reverb send)- a little chorus can go a long way 4. Modified GrPnoConcert using Stereo3BndEQ (K1 attack time, K2 release time) - you can get some interesting sounds changing K1 and K2
  24. I really appreciate Tom's playing and sharing about the PX-S3000. So thankful to have the keyboard!
  25. Yes, I will do. I am hoping there was a fix on my new keyboard assembly that prevents the noise from happening again. Since this does not seem to be an isolated incident, I am hoping Casio will look into this and provide a permanent fix if not already. I plan to send an email to Casio to ask about this. If there is a long term fix, I am sure many owners will appreciate it and be able to enjoy their keyboards for many years to come.
