Hi Mike, The Sub Sine in the Upper 3 layer sounds only up to C2 for the upper key range while I see it set up up to G9. Is it the way you programmed it or something didn't load correctly on my keyboard? Thank you, Mike!
  1. Hi, Mike, Thanks for dropping by! As I mentioned earlier, I can not use Chordana app on my lives gigs where I already use my iPad for my charts with the Forscore app. Plus, on many I have two keyboards to play, to lead/count-in/conduct the band and get my own next chart ready and set my other keyboard. I have no means/time to go back and forth between Forscore and Chordana apps just to switch the tone on one of the keyboards. With registrations you can not predict all the situations on a live fake gigs and based on the room and band sound. Besides, because you can not name Registrations you then have to memorize tens if not hundreds locations with the setups/sounds you may need to find on the fly. The biggest problem is on the PXS3000 I can't even select a new sound if needed without first going to one of the registrations and disabling Ly and/or Sp and only after that I can get back to tones to find what i need. I can not afford it on live gigs, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I do own PX560 and CTX500 (and XWp1 too btw) but this is first time I'm facing such an inconvenience with PXS3000 which is very disappointing... and BTW, no good Wurli sound or a good Rhodes comes preloaded... Thanks!
  2. Actually it is called 'stage' piano and the gig bag made for this model tell me it IS a pro model. If the top sounds in Layer and Split mode can be changed in Chordana app then Im sure it can be made possible to do on keyboard and is just a matter of improving the software. Wonder how can I effectively address these my concerns with Casio.
  3. This only works until I switch to some default registration that doesn't have these setting...
  4. Hi Rod, as I mentioned in Facebook group, If that’s how the PX S operates it’s a major drawback in this model and could lead to less sales and it needs to be addressed by Casio developers ASAP. Such a great instrument can not be wasted for home usage or music studios. It is a professional keyboard to me but needs to have some software improvements done. I don't think it is that difficult or impossible to implement but will give so much value to it
  5. Thanks, Rod, Yes, I do have different registrations set up but on live gigs you can't predict what sound you may need sometimes and especially when faking. Also based on the room sound and band sound and the tune sound sometimes I try different patches of piano for example or different electric pianos to find the best fit. And that means I'd be very limited to a few only sounds saved in the registrations. You can't save all the sounds in the registrations. Besides, you can't name the registrations. So if you have many of them, the only way to find the one you need is to memorize a few locations or mark the location in the charts when reading charts. Also, on my PX560 at least I can visually see what sounds I have in a registration so at least this helps to to find a registration needed. And, yes, like you I don't want to add a mobile device to my setup just to switch sounds especially as I explained above when I use my iPad for charts on reading gigs.
  6. Hi Brad, Thank you for the respond. I din't connect Chordana to to my PX S yet as i don't have a lightning to USB adapter and first need to get it. But that would not be the best solution for me at the live gigs when I have two keyboards, leading the band, need to change sounds quick and especially on the reading gigs when I have all my charts in on Four Score on my iPad and have no way to to switch between apps in the meddle of playing.... It's gotta be a way to do it on the keyboard itself. Hopefully someone knows how. Regards!
  7. Please advise how to to save Expression and Sustain pedals setting globally. I can go and set it up exp pedal to only control Upper tone 2 volume, and I can disable the sustain for the lower for the bass sound and then work with different tones and layers and splits without saving registrations. But when I restart the savings are not saved. I was able to set it up globally on my PX560 and CTX500 but seem can't find the way on the PX S3000. Please help. Thank you!
  8. Hi there, I set up a registration where I have piano sound and turned on Layer and another registration with both Split and Layer and control the layer sound (in my case Mellow Strings) with the expression pedal. But It is not clear how to change the Upper tone while in Split and/or Layer modes. It seems that in Split/Layer modes I can not even select any other sounds unless I go back to disable those modes. All I can change the U2 and L tones. But this is the last thing I wanna do. Especially in the split mode. I don't need to change the bass sound constantly but I wanna select a different instrument for my right hand often. And just wanna have my the same layer sound ready till and when I need it to blow it with the expression pedal and be able meanwhile to change the main sounds on the Upper Tone1 - different piano and el. piano sounds, etc. That's how I use in on my PX 560. So far the only way I found to do it is first to turn off split and/or layer then scroll back to Tones mode, select a new tone them go back to Knobs mode and enable Split/Layer again. But this is a huge Can you please advise? Thank you!!
  9. I still didn't figure it out if it's possible to On/Off parts in performance mode on the fly without getting into the Edit mode. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
  10. I have the same problem. Mainly during a performance setup. Suddenly note in one zone stop playing. Could be just one note is still playing but the rest of the key don't produce any sound until I reboot... Pretty annoying. I hope Casio can respond here somehow to let us know if it is a bug.
  11. Can anybody please advise on exact and the correct setup of GSi Burn with XW -P1 where Casio would go to Bypass mode? Also, how to disable the modulation wheel to modulate while it controls the Leslie on the Burn Thank you in advance!
  12. The problem is that if I even create a registration with the Local Off to only play the external keyboard then when I go to another registration where the Local is ON that external keyboard will still play/sound via MIDI together with PX560. And not only play but it will also receive the program changes! Because there is no way on PX560 (at least that I'm aware of) to turn Off MIDI signals sent to the external keyboard/device including Progam Changes... Talked to the tech support today but it was pretty useless. All I've been told as this keyboard is not designed as a MIDI controller and I am even lucky to get it play another keyboard... Wow!. OK... But it has standard MIDI IN and OUT/THRU connections on the back. And I does send MIDI Program Changes and it does play another keyboard and even sends the sustain and assignable pedals and the Mod wheels MIDI signals. If it does all these then it's gotta be some way to configure all these...
  13. Good idea! I will consider it! Spasibo!
  14. I don't need to have Local Off all the time. I want to be able to switch if off and on on the fly... ok, how to do I contact actual PX560 technical support then? There's gotta be MIDI OUT settings beyond those in MIDI section
  15. OK, using Local off helps though it's kinda pain to always get into the settings if you need it done quickly. But those Midi setting is all I can find. I still can not find how to turn off (and then on) Program Change Midi command. I can't find how to turn off Midi commands quickly when needed besides pulling out the Midi cable. Where are all those Midi settings?
  16. I actually did not have any problems to get the PX560 control the external board but simply connecting via midi cable. But that was as far as I got. I was not able to find a way to mute the PX560 and was getting both keyboards sound layered at the same time. I could not find any real time midi controllers to do so. Unless I have to do some special programming. Please advise if you know if it's possible to easy control an external sound device with PX 560. Thx!
  17. I seem not able to find any help in the manual on how to use PX560 as a master MIDI controller. Any help would be really appreciated! Thank you in advance!
  18. Numa Compact 2. Just using Left and Right outs. I works fine and beautifully when connected directly to the amp or PA
  19. I had to use another keyboard that was connected to Line In at almost zero volume and it was still blasting and distorting
  20. Hi Brad, When I found the Line In volume settings it was by default at 127. I then try to decrease it but it did not make any difference and as I mentioned above the distortions are still substantial even on the minimum Line In volume settings.
  21. Does someone else have the same problem? When I connect another keyboard thru Line In inputs it horribly distorts while PX560 itself plays nice and clear. I tried to adjust the Line In Volume in Balance screen. But even after bringing it even to a minimum when I can barely hear it from the amp the signal from that external keyboard still appears to be heavily distorted. That volume control setting is only for the volume IN not for the volume OUT. I'm lost here... Is there any way to adjust the Line In out volume or gain? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
  22. Partially answered in my reply just before yours. Regards!
  23. Ok, followed instructions. I didn't know how to know which tones have a rotary DSP (didn't know which ones of those would be) but I played around and chose a Gospel organ and was able to get the modulation wheel to effect the speed of the rotary effect. But not all the organ tones are effected by the wheel if I choose a different organ sound. In fact, for some, the assigned speed target may change to input, or distortion or volume targets based on what organ sound is chosen. This is pretty strange what Casio did with the modulation wheel assignment. It doesn't let me to simply apply a rotary speed effect to any organ I select. Instead, it only lets me control a rotary speed if the tone is created with a rotary effect (or DPS tones) If there's no rotary effect in the tone the modulation wheel renders useless or changes to some different effect that is assigned to that Target number. Other words the modulation wheel is not a separate controller but a controller that only changes built-in effects of the tone if there any... And the same applies to Knob controllers... And so, unless I edit all the organ sounds that have a rotary DPS I can not apply the rotary effect to every organ sound that I may choose. In this case, the GSi BURN box I ordered will be really handy if I don't bring my Hammond on the gig and only use my PX560...
