  1. Thank you very much for all the responses! But why most comments in this thread are deleted now?
  2. Hello Tom. I'm glad you're happy with your new keyboard! May I ask, did you consider a CT-X5000? If yes, what made you choose the WK7600, other than 76 keys?
  3. Hello, and happy new year! I'm looking for a workstation keyboard for songwriting and sequencing. My workflow would be: Create bass and drum lines as rhythms. Sequence these rhythms to a full-length song. Record my live piano performance as MIDI on top of the rhythm track. Plug a microphone and sing over the music. Record the finished song as audio. I've been reading the manuals and forum posts about these keyboards. While CT-X5000 seems to be a terrific entertainer keyboard and live instrument with the new AIX sounds and decent speakers, I have some doubts that I can't clear. WK7600/CTK7200: Has good pianos. Full-blown MIDI recording, sequencing, editing features. Built-in audio recorder. Smooth integration with DAWs, either live or by importing MIDI files. CT-X5000: AIX is great, but the pianos don't sound way better than WK7600/CTK7200's AHL? MIDI workflow is not as powerful as WK7600/CTK7200? I ran into several posts here suggesting it's not, but they don't specify exact reasons. No built-in audio recorder. Wouldn't recording through unbalanced line outs cause audio glitches? Importing generated MIDI files into DAWs cause issues due to excessive CC messages? Also some MIDI standards exist in WK7600/CTK7200 not implemented? Some people mentioned lag and polyphony issues during live performances. Are they resolved? Sorry for the loaded questions, but I'm on a tight budget and terrified of making a wrong decision. I'd love to hear your input.
  4. Hello, I'm so glad there's such an active and helpful community. Things written here halped me greatly to shape my decision. Thank you all. I'm planning to get an AT-3 or AT-5 keyboard as my first arranger workstation. As far as I know, they're basically CTK-7000/WK-7500 keyboards modified for oriental styles. I have a few questions I couldn't find answers: I read that the older CTK-7000/WK-7500 keyboards have annoying keybed noise that is fixed in the newer CTK-7200/WK-7600 keyboards. I know all non-piano keyboards have that noise. But I'd like to know if people are exaggerating, or CTK-7000/WK-7500 is actually much worse than the newer editions in that regard. Is that noise so loud that would ruin live sessions where you sing through a dynamic microphone while playing the keyboard? Using Data Manager, can you convert new audio samples into Casio tones, or you're limited to modify the existing tones only? Can you store e.g. hundreds of Casio tones and rhythms in the SD card, and import them to main memory, without needing a computer? Can you do the same to edit a Casio formatted song from the SD card in the song sequencer? Can you apply effects like reverb, chorous, etc. to microphone and instrument inputs. I've seen model codes with K2 suffix on some web shops, like AT-3K2 or CTK-7000K2. How does K2 models differ from the non-K2 ones? I hope that's not too much. Thank you very much again, and have a great day. Dave
