Amazing, five seconds after posting I succeeded: 1) turn on metronome 2) keep "function key" pressed while: 2.1) press and release "BAR/BEATS" in the keyboard. This is the step that I was missing (but note it is in the instructions). 2.2) press and release "0" in the keyboard. 3) release the "function key". -

deckard1, did you ever figure out this one? I have the same problem: no way to change or to eliminate the chime in the metronome. Followed instructions but does not work.
