  1. I recently purchased the Casio CTS1 and just today I discovered that I'm missing a tone in my Electric piano 2 set, it is either 'Advanced' or 'Vintage', both are now identical. I've tried the reset to factory settings and also if I cycle through the tones using the keyboard itself I find that those two tones are still identical. What could've happened?

Hi, it´s bimfood again 😅 - I´d like to share one of my selfmade tones - based on a choir sample. Sounds a bit fairlighdish. Have fun. Maybe the Sample Volume is much to loud. So be carefull with that. Also the Loop Points didn´t get the phase-walkthrough 100% accurate, so you will hear a little bit of crackling in the background. Fairlighdish Choir.ztn
  3. Hello everyone I call as "default tone accomp" the one that you can listen if you follow the steps: Press the button "ACCOMP ON/OFF"; Play a key at "Auto Accompainment keyboard" area. I would like to know how to change the default tone of accomp. I've already tried to use the Mixer to change the tone (Part 11, Part 12, Part 13, Part 14), but after I change it when I press some key it just changes back to default ones (GM Finger Bass, GM Piano 1, GM Nylon GT, GM Strings 1) respectively. I would like accomp to play a single tone (like "Midnight Sun") when I press some accomp key. Is that possible?

  5. When I change the DSP setting on a tone and want to keep it, I usually save it to a registration. Is there any way to use that saved tone in a layer or split?
  6. Is there any way to edit the default DSP "000: Tone"? Sometimes I just want to slightly modify the factory DSP, but I don't know if it is possible to start with the original DSP and then tweak it a bit rather than selecting one of the 100 other DSPs and start from scratch.

I always like a piano sound that cuts through a mix. This registration file contains four similar power pianos (these are modifications of the factory default GrPnoConcert tone and have a more powerful attack). Each registration has a different Touch Response setting. DSP is Stereo1BndEQ with an increased Dry Level. Knobs control Brilliance/Reverb. Rhythm is Straight 8Bt.
  8. I've been able to tweak existing piano tones and save them on the PX-560, but I am not sure how to duplicate/recreate a piano tone in the hex layer. For example, say I wanted to recreate the default GrPnoConcert tone in a hex layer, how would I do that? At first I thought I could just copy the same tone parameters in a hex layer, but they appear to be somewhat different. I am also not sure what base waves to use (like GrPiano2-L, GrPiano2-R, etc.) and how to set it up. I've tried various things but haven't been able to reproduce the same sound compared to the original tone. Does anyone have suggestions on how to do this or maybe have a good basic hex layer piano template that they wouldn't mind sharing? Thank you.

I created this tone for an alternative to the brighter sounding grands in the px-560. Still a powerful sound but darker sounding that blends with a mix and doesn’t overly cut through. I use it for praise and worship music like Hillsong.
  11. Is there a way to either get the .wav or .mp3 files of the tones or sounds that are in the keyboard? If not those files, is there just a way to see the sounds?
  12. Hi guys/gals Apologies but I may be asking a stupid one here - haven't had my morning triple-shot coffee yet I recently had a go at loading and configuring guitar WAV samples and produced a "Hank Marvin Fender Strat guitar" tone to share (in downloads section). This seemed all reasonably straight forward using the sample manager software from Casio. I'd like to do a better job with some other sound samples I have. My question is: ...if I was doing the same but with WAV file samples of strings or organ (i.e. the sounds are sustained (looped)) how do I configure the actual loop part of the WAV so that the MZ plays continuously whilst the notes are held down? I have done this on my Korg as its in-built editor has this feature. Hope I'm making sense. I think Mike Martin may have done this with his "StringMachine" tone in the downloads..... Thanks Pete

  16. I just got my new Px-560M a couple of days ago. It came with firmware version 1.12. When I first turn it on, the LCD screen showed that the upper 1 tone was set to Grand Piano 1 (default). However, the sound was not that of a grand piano (you can hear it in the attached take00.wav file). The sound is the same on the speakers, over earphones, and even when recorded in a wav file and played on my PC. I tried pressing the "Grand Piano" key, but nothing happened. I then updated the firmware to 1.14 and performed a "factory reset", but the problem persisted. Then, by chance, I entered the "mixer" section. The sound immediatly changed to the correct grand piano sound (hear to take01.wav). If I turn off the piano and on again, the problem reappears, and goes away (for that session) by simply entering the "mixer" section of the menu, whithout changing any parameter, just by entering that section of the menu. I don't understand what is happening, and it doesn't appear to be a normal behaviour. Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else? TAKE00.WAV TAKE01.WAV

Hello guys! Here is a sampling of combinations that I made on my MZ-X500, you should first read the memory files (PIANOS_E.ZRM), then choose the tones. Now, load the tones: ELEC_MAR.ZTN DIGITALE.ZTN PIANOCHO.ZPF DIGITALE.ZTN ELEC_MAR.ZTN PIANOCHO.ZPF PIANOS_E.ZRM
