Ok. So I have this phrase recorded on the PX-5S that was made for a particular hex layer tone I made. I want to playback the phrase as a part of a song sequence where: track1 is the phrase for the hex layer tone and track2 plays another phrase consisting of a drum pattern. Now, in the song mixer I can tell the PX-5s which instrument or tone I want to use for a particular track. I succeeded in picking a drum set for the drum phrase. However, I can't select the said hex layer tone as my tone for the phrase in track1. I consulted the tutorial manual for the PX-5S and according to it, in its tone list, (page E-45), the program change number for user hex layer tones 050-127 is 50-127, while the Bank Select MSB Value is 97 For hex layer tones 128-199 the program change number is 0-71 and the Bank select MSB value is 98. I tried to dial in the corresponding program change number with Bank Select MSB set to 97 and 98 - but I don't see my hexlayer tone as a selected tone. Any suggestions? Just new here, wanted to know the basics functions of this keyboard. 1. How to save a tone (or layered tone) on a "Bank" or in a slot of the 16 slots sequencer (that has Casio CT-X5000) ? => i have thought, that u could save it on Registry, but Presets (Piano, Organ etc) were already registered ! So, how to delete the Registry 2 (Organ), and Create your own preset instrument on it ? 2. For creating a song, i dont understand how u should proceed ? a) does a song consists of many "Phrases" that you add in a sequently order ? b) does "Phrase" is a part of song where u can record the Left hand, then come back for the Right hand ? Like, u can create, then modify those parts as long as u want ? Or is it recorded just once ? 3. When u created your song, can u record/save somewhere in the Keyboard ? a) how to proceed for that ? (coz got many ideas, and want to save them, so i can freed my mind for new ideas and keep working safely) 3. For layered-tones, how many banks can u use simultaneously while you are playing ? coz was thinking of using (Piano+string) Bank 1, (Guitar+Bass) Bank 2 and (Vocals+Saxophone) Bank 3 Is it possible ? and ofc, could i just use Bank 1 & 2, then switch to 3, and do just Bank 1 & 3 ? ====> Just asking those for Banks, coz in my Old Yamaha, u had 16 Bank Slots, ( 8 dedicated for Drum kits Accomp, and the other remaining 8 Banks where for your USE ). Then within those 8 banks offered, u could only select a maximum of 3 Banks simultaneoustly All u had to do, is simply press the 3 Bank (sequencer main panel) and just play. So, was wandering if you could have a similar system with the Casio CT-X5000 Need your Help, and just feel free to post useful advices, THANKS !

Is the following way possible? Say I have DAW on computer running, casio connected as output midi device. I play single phrase from DAW - casio records it say to bass line. I play another phrase - recorded as chords and so on. Will this work?

I have a WK-110 that I would like to send some custom tunes to. Currently, I only have the SMF converter, which I can use to send a MIDI file or create a .cm2. I would like to be able to create a file that can trigger the fingering and chord name display (for "auto accompaniment") that the built-in tunes allow. Can anyone help with that? Is there a modification I can do to a .cm2 file that allows that? I'm pretty much trying to create my own song that the keyboard treats like a built-in tune.

I am toying around with the presets on my Privia PX-5S and I want to save a certain set up of sounds for a gig that I am playing. Luckily the show is in January so I have time to not know what I'm doing at the moment. I have a Synth sound with Strings layered with it. I want to somehow save that sound so I can switch between that and a normal piano setting while playing live. Is that possible with this keyboard? Any help with this would be awesome so I don't have to type in what I want before each song! Thanks!

Hello. Ive bought a brand new casio px-5s(we) model not long ago, and its great. But i have an issue: when i record phrase for egz. in bass. i press play phrase, and everything looks good, BUT when im editing song, and add the phrase i recorded before (in egz. bass), the phrase plays in piano only! no matter if i used drums/bass/ electric piano/ etc. while recording.. when song, it ALLWAYS plays in piano ONLY! i dont really know what to do (i red all the manual and tried all i could think off)... any ideas why? and how to fix it? help would be REALLY appreciated, thanks! p.s. that thing in sys rec setting is on (dont remember what its called :/)
