Here's a Hexlayer Tone called "SomethingNew" I did some time ago. It has a brassy (synth) kind of sound to it. Also, when you release the keys the sound is programmed to sort of talk back at ya If you use the stagesetting PLAYFULL.ZPF (instead) and you hard-press the keys in the lower keyboard range you'll hear an arpeggio. I included a sound demo (of the stagesetting) as well. Have fun with it. Jay 🎹 -

Hi all, so the WK-3000 manual says that the Registration Memory stores (among others) the synthesizer mode settings. Those are, for example, OctShift (octave shift) and level (loudness). However, when I store some settings and then re-open them with the BANK button, these settings are gone and set to default. For example, I want the layered instrument to be only level 60 (default is 120). I save the settings. They work. But as soon as I re-open them, the settings are level 120 again. Same applies to Octave shift (very annoying!!) and probably all other synth settings. Other settings like instruments, layer, split and so on are saved, this issue seems only to affect the synth settings. This way I really can't use registration memory at all because I would have to manually re-adjust everything in synth settings each time. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there some kind of official statement why it does not work? Thanks! -
I'm an Artist now in my own way why because I appreciate an instrument that takes me places. The XW-G1 is my go to inspiration keyboard what I do with it I've learned through the years. No no noo my XW is behaving strange on me buttons are not acting screen is jumping functions on every button action, Me think its slowly giving its last breath, I have to operate it or send it out for recovery before it plugs itself out.

I've done an re-issue totally for the PX5S this time a song about the adventures in a far away galaxy where there is a world with surrounded by planets that world is as big as the moon Titan. But what is Ghorak-V really. Everything is done in song mode except the pad which I've used arpeggio on so its a full phrase / arpeggio song :D. I've got to learn more about song mode and programming special voices to use on it cause like XW-G1 once you get the hang of it, It turns into a sonic creative addiction XD. Used two drum tracks on this the mix isn't up to par the song isn't complete or done well but i've learned song mode for a change.

This is a 4 zone Stage Setting set up as follows: Zone1: Strings Zone2: Pad Zone3: Synth Arp Zone4: Piano Sliders 1-4 correspond to volume of each of those. It starts with the volume of zones 1-3 set to 0. Slider 5 is a wonderful stereo panning delay for the piano part. What makes this Stage Setting different is the way each of the parts are voiced. This Stage Setting is "radio ready" or performance ready in that it utilizes a narrow amplitude dynamic range while still remaining remarkably expressive. Pedal 2 is an essential element of this Stage Setting as it is set up to toggle the filter. This allows this Stage Setting to breath. This is an especially unique and powerful aspect of the PX-5S. A variation on a stock preset, the Silky Smooth2 press is a little darker, wider in the stereo field and has a phaser effect for some extra animation. This is a Hex Layer tone so a Hex Layer category tone must be selected in Upper1 before going to the Media menu to load this file. -

Hi all, I have just ordered an iPad to use with Casio px5 to solve 2 big (for me) problems with casio: the monophonic mode with synth and the weak organ sound engine. for organ I think I'll use App Galileo, or maybe the hammond in Garageband, I'll have to try. For synth I want to know what app do you use for reliable, solid use in LIVE gigs (not amateur use at home). It's fundamental that the synth have mono/legato option, poly mode, and that I can change preset throught midi program change from casio and that it can work on only one midi channel. I already bought animoog with black friday sales, thinking that changing preset throught program change was a common feature in all app synth, but I was wrong..it doesn't do it (for me, unbelieveble) I want to know some app synth with this features and that doesn't get no issues with nothing. I'm looking to sunrizer and magellan (I prefer the second for sound), but I want to know if someone of you use them in live use and if there is any problems. or any other app suggestions? I want to link the mini jack out of iPAd to mini jack in of casio, is there any problem? I read that the output of iPad is a bit low, can I balance its audio with casio audio with line in Gain, or there is too much difference and have to further boost the ipad signal?
