Ok, so I spent hours producing this short video - I hope you like it . All music is played on the CT-370. I sampled the drum sounds in order to have a steady drum beat, but apart from that, all is played and recorded manually. Jay 🎹

Here's a little thing I recorded some time back ago on the iPad, with sound solely from the Casio CT-S1. I polished it a bit, and here's the result. It is very much inspired by the style and music of Greek-American composer Yanni. Hence, the name on the track Jay 🎹

I was trying out the My Setup-function on my CT-S1, and the resulting sound reminded me of this gospel song. One I used to sing several years ago in a gospel choir. 😊 Jay 🎹

After a few days of an intense researching and brainstorm with the forum colleagues about how to "sculp" the almost perfect, or as close as could get, this is my cute, softly and intense modification strings tone. Hello, everyone! I'm looking for a better way to improve the tone 001 :StereoStrings in attempt to change the EQ, but with no success. As a reference I have using the app SampleTank for a long time and I love the strings that app offers as a instrument. But now that a have the PX-S3000 I really like to know from you if there is a specific kind of DSP (probably) to help me to controll de EQ. In other words, to "open" the sound, or better saying, to add more gain in the middle frequencies, attenuating the low frequencies too. It seems that the tone was recording with a pre equalization too low for the middle frequencies and I feel the DSP that I tried does not bring me the results that I'm expected, having the SampleTank as a reference. Of course I will not achieve the same results, but the Strings from PX-S3000 needs a better EQ. One thing that I made it was the using of a knob to control de envelope and it's fine for me. Now I'm trying to better the EQ. Any ideas to point me in right direction? Thanks!

Beau Soir (Beautiful Evening) is is a highly impressionistic and lush piece from Debussy written when he was only 15 years old! Lyrics: "When the rivers are rosy in the setting sun, And a warm shiver runs over the wheat fields, Advice to be happy seems to rise up from things And climb toward the troubled heart. Advice to taste the charm of being in the world While one is young and the evening is beautiful, For we are going away, as the stream goes away: The stream to the sea, we to the grave." I recently learned this by ear after listening (many times) to the "real" version while using the free Android app Music Speed Changer plugged into the audio in on the PX560. This program allows you so slow down an mp3 without changing the pitch = handy. FYI: I made a chord "cheat sheet" if anyone is interested (PDF). This is kind of an ambient piano choir, strings combination performance I made this afternoon. Notice that with a very soft touch, you can get the choir/strings to sing without waking up the the piano keys, IF you are very soft on your touch. There is some great music hidden inside of this performance patch, and it is your job to pull it out,. so get after it now! (lol) I hope you enjoy this. It's a nice performance to chill out to. -

I needed a thick string sound. My favorite was from an old Alesis QS 6.1. So I got both the Alesis and the PX 5S together and kept adding stuff until I got what I needed, which was a stand alone sting sound. I did customize a hex layer so put it in first and everything should line up. I'm still pretty new to all this, I'll try and create the same file on the XW-P1. -

This stage setting is inspired by, and partly based on, Kates String. It is my attempt at providing orchestral variety in one stage setting. Mixing the string tones with Sliders 1, 2 and 3 provides a range of tones from mellow to bright; adding the Orchestra tone from zone 2 gives punch; and brass can be turned on or of as required. I hope you find it useful. The tones are: Zone 1, WarmStrings2; Zone 2, Orchestra; Zone 3, Syn-Strings1; Zone 4, BriteStrings. Controls: Knob 1: Reverb (all zones) Knob 2: EQ High Gain (all zones) Knob 3: Attack (zones 1, 3 & 4) Knob 4: Release (zones 1, 3 & 4) Slider 1: zone 1 volume Slider 2: zone 3 volume Slider 3: zone 4 volume Slider 4: zones 1, 3 & 4 expression (reversed action) Slider 5: zone 2 volume and on/off* Slider 6: zone 1 layer 6 (brass section) on/off and volume. Pedal 1: Soft (all zones) Pedal 2: zone 2 on/off *Note: Slider 5 is set to turn zone 2 on or off in case Pedal 2 is not available. If the second pedal is available, I recommend setting Target 2 of the control to No Assign and just leaving the Volume control for the zone. I made this stage setting for performing Anthem from Chess, hence the name. Slider 6 brings in the Oboe for the intro and bridge and pedal 2 brings in the Orchestra for dynamic emphasis, particularly for the triplets near the end of the piece. Thanks to the author of Kates String for the inspiration and foundation of this stage setting. There are two versions of this stage setting; AnthemOrchV1 and AnthemOrchV2. AnthemOrchV1 has all sliders, except Slider 6, work in reverse i.e. moving them up lowers the value, similar to organ drawbars. This avoids the jump the sudden change in level when a slider is moved from its home position. Since this might seem unnatural for many users, I have made a second version, AnthemOrchV2, that has all sliders expect for Slider 3 (Expression) set to work in the normal mode. The tones are: Zone 1, WarmStrings2; Zone 2, Orchestra; Zone 3, Syn-Strings1; Zone 4, GM Oboe.
