  1. I have just bought a CASIO MA-150 keyboard which has a MIDI OUT jack ("Female type"). How can I Connect this to a computer? PROBLEMS 1: Typical MIDI - to - USB connector not available in the market. PROBLEMS 2: A direct wiring from MIDI to USB does not lead to any recognition of MIDI (CASIO MA - 150) device Tried to directly make electrical connection from the MIDI OUT jack to an USB Port by various means, but Any of the MIDI ROLL PIANO software in my computer does not recognize this incoming connection (Plus horrible noise in my CASIO MA - 150 keyboard's built in loudspeakers if I try to make direct electrical connections). Also I have checked connected device in WINDOWS control panel - I didn't find any. I have tried to find CASIO driver files over the internet but it wont work. So, how could I make successful connection between my MIDI keyboard and the computer? please help me out, an early response would be highly helpful.
  2. Hey, I am a beginner. I have heard that Synthesia app better than cordana and I am going to buy my first piano. I am interest in Lk-S250 but if it not support Synthesia I have to go for other keyboard. I just want to make sure if it support Synthesia app and light up... T.I.A
  3. How do you select Stage Settings from MIDI (Another keyboard or iPad Remote Control)?Bank 112, followed by a program change 0-99 will select the Stage SettingsWhen can I download the Mac/PC editor?Tentatively on or around April 19thI've tried all the velocity curves the piano is either too loud or too soft for my needsThe pianos are set by default for a very wide dynamic range (as are all Privia models). You can reduce the dynamic range yourself. Press the EDIT button, select TONE. Go to the AMP page. Find velocity and reduce it from a value of +64 to around 40. You'll have to scroll back up to the stop of the AMP page and reduce the overall volume to compensate. We will be posting variations on the piano for download later in April. What is the warranty on the PX-5SIn the US it is 1 year plus an additional 2 years when you register your purchase online. http://www.onlineregister.com/casio/registration/?category=Keyboards Can the MIDI Solutions Pedal Controller be used on the PX-5S for expression or sustainMany people have expressed interest in using this device with the PX-5S to use either as an expression pedal or to use with a continuous damper pedal such as the Roland DP-10. The MIDI Solutions product only transmits on 1 MIDI channel. This means that regardless of how you're using (expression or sustain) it can only control 1 zone of the PX-5S at a time. While we are investigating ways to provide better integration with devices such as this, this does NOT mean that anything is planned or guaranteed. If there is ever an official announcement of a firmware update you'll here it from me, here on this forum I've downloaded sounds from this forum and put them on the USB drive, but I can not load them. The files need to be placed in the MUSICDAT folder on the USB drive for the PX-5S to see them.
  4. Hello everyone, I've recently dug up an antique Casio LK-110 keyboard piano, I was wondering if there is a way for me to connect it to Ableton Live 9. Thanks! UltimateHG
  5. Called Casio support last week with two questions. They were not able to answer either, but promised to have tier 2 support call me in 24-48 hours, "depending how busy they were". Never receive a call back. So, I just purchased this unit last week and will return it if the service remains this unresponsive. Meanwhile, maybe some kind soul here knows the answer to my questions. 1) Midi selections play fine on the MZ-X500 when driven by my PC using VanBosco music player; USB cable connection. The same file plays incorrectly when loaded from the USB device into keyboard memory. The rhythm track in particular is always wrong, playing a voice vs a drum set. My assumption is the keyboard is misinterpreting the track info. Fixes? 2) Should the SMF Converter program be able to send its data to the keyboard through the USB cable? When I try this, the PC error message states the keyboard can not be found. I've loaded the indicated Windows 8.1 driver. Thoughts? Thanks in advance! Chris
  6. HI, just created a stage setup for a laptop; this was my second construction with four legs. Here my last lower smaller version with two legs only on top of my PX-5S. If you use a simple stage stand with tubes of 25mm this 32mm drain pipe construction will carry your laptop on stage! And it brings it close to your eyes! You can make it any size you like, and as solid as you like. My initial construction was more complicated than the final one ha ha. So here is what you need maximum: 2m 32mm plastic drain pipe, 2 FxF elbows 32mm, 2 MxF elbows 32mm, 6 FxFxM T32mm, 2 FxFxF T32mm, 4 fixing clip 32mm and an iron saw. With this you can make all the different models on the pics. Essential is the thickness of the tube of the stand being 25mm. Because that's the inner diameter of the FxFxM T32mm!! Two or four of these slide over the pipes on either side of the stand behind the piano to carry the construction. Here the fitting is so stable, that no glue is needed and that leaves you all possibilities for change.... Let the vertical carry pipes tilt a bit towards each other for stability! I still have to make hardboard cover in the final setup so I can use a mouse.
