  1. Hi , MZ-X500 lovers, (and MZ-X300's too) Year or so since the launch of Casio's flagship arranger keyboard. Great keyboard, but I do wonder at the apparent lack of video tutorials (in English) for the Casio MZ-X500 and MZ-X300s.
  2. Hi folks, A simple video here. Quite elementary actually but intended mainly for newbies getting into the world of Casio MZ-X500 and Software Drum kits like Battery 4 at the same time. Please watch and share your comments in YouTube and right here as well. I will be making more videos on various interesting musical tools and topics (including more videos on other features, tools & techniques in Casio MZ-X500), which you can be notified of if you subscribe to my channel. Thanks for watching !

Here is a demo of the sound you are downloading.... https://soundcloud.com/bradmz/ukulele-strumming-demo-casio-px-5s UKULE2.ZLT is a hex layer tone. UKULELST.ZAR is an arpeggio pattern. Load these two files into your MZ-X500. Select the new Ukulele tone as Upper 1 tone. Enable the arpeggiator and select the new Ukulele arpeggio pattern. The hex layer tone will have the muted strum sound in the lower octave, while the rest of the keyboard will be for open strumming. To play the pattern, use a rhythmic back and forth between your sustain pedal and the muted strum in the left hand while holding chords with your right hand for the arpeggiator to use. Release the sustain pedal and play the muted sound almost simultaneously. To play the strum manually as in the second part of my demo, disable the arpeggiator and practice playing chords in a sweeping motion as if you are strumming with a flat pick on guitar strings.
  4. Is it possible in the Midi Recorder to start Recording from the last measure.Example,if i already have 4 measures Recorded and want to start Recording on the start of measure 5 even though i stopped at the end of 4.Do i have to first insert blank measures or can i continue?
  5. Hi folks, Been watching this great video tutorial. Very clear and informative. Can we expect a full compliment of Casio tutorials for the MZ-X500 soon?
  6. Hi guys. I was listenig to the MZ-X500 demos, and I think that it's an amazing board, though far from clear my doubts they have done nothing but deepen them. I have some questions: Toneweel organ: It's the same as on XW-P1? Syntesizer: Does it have a monophonic synth like the XW-P1? Hex layer: Same engine as PX-5S and PX-560? PCM Sounds: They are the same on PX-560? I heard beatiful strings on the MZ-X500, with a lot of artuculations. I don't know if the PX-560 can do that. Thanks and keep CASIO growing!
  7. Hi there, I would like to add / insert any new pages to my MZ-X500 manual downloads from 3 months ago if there are any updates from the original PDF manual downloads. I recall reading on the MZ-X500 Facebook page of a few updates / improvements from the prototype MZ-X500 model? I ask this because the current MZ-X500 user manual PDF download size seems to be the same size to the original manual download, so I wonder if there any new pages to add? thank-you Edd
