  1. It is my understanding all the tones on the CT-S1 are included on the CT-S1000V. I love the default standard piano tone on the CT-S1 and am considering getting the CT-S1000V but want to be sure the same standard piano tone is on the CT-S1000V. However, I read some comments on this YouTube video that claimed the default piano tone on the CT-S1 was different or not present(?) in the CT-S1000V. I am not sure if this is true or an error by the people who posted. Can anyone confirm? Thank you.
  2. Hello, new owner (though I've been playing it for a month). Originally I had a Roland Juno-G, which had 5 knobs with multiple layers of function. With this new Casio, I see there are 3 programmable knobs, which I know how to edit... But not to save. I believe I have to do something with the Menu Registry, which I have fiddled with - but no matter what I try to do all of my settings are lost whenever I restart my keyboard. So, would someone be able to walk me through in simple terms a step-by-step instruction on what I am meant to do, please? I've read through a bunch of this forum and see good responses to other knob related things. There is a lot of other good material to read through, though a lot of it does go over my head. Any help will be appreciated.
  3. On the PX-S3000, I don't think there is a way to edit a sound's default DSP "000: Tone", but is there any documentation that shows the specific DSP parameter settings used in the default so I can recreate it from scratch and then tweak it?
  4. I have recently purchased the CT-x5000. It may not be complicated to some but my previous keyboard had 8 tones and 8 buttons, so it's a steep learning curve (farewell 1991 Clavinova). I have read the manual (thoroughly) and can find little information concerning the metronome. In fact, the best information was via Youtube, 20 minutes from the end of a 3 hour review. The issue: I would like to record some accompaniments. I wish to keep in strict time and then I can add second parts (+ more). I set the metronome to 80 and it resets to 120 once I start playing. I have tried the "To sound a pre-count or the metronome" on page EN-95 without success as it also reverts to 120. Summary: 1 How do I record with the metronome? 2 How do I get the machine retain the speed that I set it to? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Derek
  5. Is there any way to edit the default DSP "000: Tone"? Sometimes I just want to slightly modify the factory DSP, but I don't know if it is possible to start with the original DSP and then tweak it a bit rather than selecting one of the 100 other DSPs and start from scratch.
  6. Hi, After several months my PX-160 is having the strings tone as default when I turn it on. How can I set it back to be the Grand Piano? Thanks
  7. I have a CTK-5200 and everytime I turn it on, the tone is set to 205 and I have to change it to 001. I haven't found anywhere how to change this. I want the default tone to be 001. Can anyone help? Thank you!
  8. Basically, I am unable to lower volume of the upper split point (right hand melody/harmony/improve) or raise the accompaniment volume.. Because of this, I can't hear the accompaniment well enough. As I turn up the volume, the entire keyboard gets louder. I need the accompaniment louder. I would like to be able to turn up the bass line and drums. Yes - I have made user settings but I still would have liked to use the mixer and be able to save globally. Please let me know if I'm completely out of line or misunderstanding what I heard. If the manual says you can save something, then it should be true. If not, I've wasted lots of time. I also don't change settings from patch to patch, that is not efficient either. Please someone, let me know if there is a solution to this problem. Tech support gave an unconvincing "we're trying to fix the problem, have you looked at the user forum?" Thank you!
