  1. I hear no sound when playing the keys without headphones. I tried factory settings, Local control but nothing happening. Please give me clue. Thank you.
  2. So I know my studio headphones work (tried them from other sources). I have the correct adapter, but no sound comes out from any place when I plug the headphones in. We've had the piano 3.5 years (purchased new) and the input has never worked. It didn't matter before, but now my daughter wants to use the headphone feature because she will be in a dorm in college. I tried the rubbing alcohol/toothpick and q-tip trick as suggested for the reversed problem. No luck. Any suggestions? We live in Central Illinois and there arent any Casio dealers near us. I called corporate, but their only suggestion is the factory reset which doesnt work.
  3. Hello, I am a new member here. I own a PX-760 that is about three years old now. I've no issues encountered with it before, even with the headphone jack. A few days ago, however, as I was playing with my usual earphones in an adapter, the sound suddenly cut off. I was surprised because I could hear through the headphones perfectly well moments prior, and then I couldn't all of a sudden. I unplugged the adapter and plugged it again, but no sound came out of the earphones. I even tried wiggling the earphones just in case its contact with the adapter was not good. Still, no sound came. The sounds work fine with the external speakers. Playing with earphones/headphones is really important to me, as I could play without disturbing anyone late in the night. I've no idea how to assess this issue. I was hoping if anyone could help me. Thank you in advance.
  4. Hi all, Got my px-s1000 last week in order to learn piano. Really like it and love that I can practice with the headphones on when family go to bed. Anyhow, just tonight I have noticed a sort of knocking sound, like knocking on a wood table sort of sound (but sort of with echo/reverb type quality too) in the higher keys, noticeable faintly from around the 5 keys then more and more so as you continue up, to where the top keys are more percussion/knocking than note. Basically is this mimicking the sound of an actual piano? I am not talking about physical knocking/sounds of the keys being pressed here, it doesn't do it on electronic piano setting for example, but it is like the sound is simulated to be like that. I've tried all grand piano settings and rock piano setting and sounds same. Any help much appreciated. Kind regards Craig Voice 002.m4a
  5. When using my Corsair HS50 Headphones, the audio from the piano sounds extremely different. The guitar voices all sound as if they have way too much reverb. I have tried earphones and the audio from those is just fine. Anyone know what's up?
  6. Hi, This might me useful for people interested in the technical side of digital pianos or headphones. I measured the output impedance of the headphone out in my PX-560. It's about 4 ohms. I think it's a good or even very good result considering it's not a product specialized in driving headphones. If you wonder what it is about, you can check the following links. It appears that the general consensus is that lower output impedance is better and you want it to be at least 8 times lower than the impedance of the headphones. However, some people seem to prefer how their headphones sound with high output impedance. If that is the case, I believe adding impedance is far easier than removing it. http://nwavguy.blogspot.de/2011/02/headphone-amp-impedance.html http://www.innerfidelity.com/search/node/output%20impedance
  7. I recently received the CTK-2500 for my birthday. Upon playing it it seemed fine, but when I tried to plug in my SPECIALLY bought Casio headphones, the music continued to play out of the piano speaker and not the headphones. The headphones work on other devices, so that is not the problem.
  8. My Privia PX-350 seems to be very temperamental about head phones. The only Headphones producing a decent (But not perfect) sound are the Harman Kardon Classic. I have tried with a pair of Bose Q25 using the original cable and a 1/4 adapter and using a special cable with a 1/4 connector and the sound is really bad. I have tried with a pair of Sony (Low cost, about 40 USD) with similar results. I have tried multiple combinations: Only the headphones connected, Headphones+a cable in the Amp out, Headphones in the Amp out. Any recommendations of what headphones I should use to obtain good audio from the Privia or should I consider a Headphone amp? PS: I know audio quality is very subjective but what I obtain is low volume audio with really bad definition. Thanks.
  9. I just got a Casio CTK 2400 last night and I noticed my right earbud on my headphone wasn't working. I tried various headphones and they still didn't work. I tried the stereo standard plug (the adapter) on my guitar amplifier and it was working. The headphones I used were the ones that came with my Apple phone. I would like to fix this problem asap so please don't hesitate to help me out.
  10. Hi. I'm new to this forum. I have just bought a Casio AP-460 because I want to learn to play piano. Hopefully, next week I will have my first lesson (all these means I have no musical background or knowledge for that matter). Since I have no musical background, I will have to ask that you excuse my lack of knowledge and jargon. Going to the point: I assembled the AP-460 according the instructions and, to me, the built-in speakers sound fine. In particular regarding the volume, all the keys appear to sound equally (same volume, equally "loud") However, when I plugged the headphones, Bose QC15, I noted that the low note keys appear to have quite less volume than the high note keys. I reset the piano, checked the cables, changed jacks, and the result is the same? Is this something to be expected? Is it because of the Bose QC15? Will it make a difference if I use the Audio Technica ATH-M40X (buying this evening)? Your opinions and suggestions are much welcome. Thanks in advance, Alejandro
  11. I managed to get my hands on a pair of XW-H3 headphones, and I am loving them. I got the gray and red XW-H3's to go with my XW-G1 synth. I also have the XW-P1 synth. Now I just need the XW-J1 to finish up the XW series. Anyway, I am very impressed with the XW-H headphones. They sound great, and they do a really nice job of isolating outside noise. They are also very comfortable, and I love the way they fold and twist.
