  1. I'm looking to buy a PX-560 and I realized that unlike the PX-5S, it doesn't have fades and fewer knobs. I have a midi controller just for fades and knobs, and I would like to know if there is a possibility that I can control the parameters of the Hex layers, and if my controller could serve as the fades that the PX-560 doesn't have and the knobs that are missing. I'm from Brazil. Sorry for my english, and thanks in advance!

  3. This pertains to MZ-X500 and PX-560M as they share a very similar control interface, but possibly also other CASIO keyboards. I have an analog pedal on Pedal 2 and the pedal configured to control the Expression parameter for Upper 2 and Lower 2 from min 0 to max 127. This works quite nicely to bring in the second layers gradually. At the same time I would also like to fade out the Upper 1 and Lower 1 layers, so that at the pedal's mid point is where all layers play full. My attempt at this was to use the config "2" of the Pedal Edit to control the Expression parameter for Upper 1 and Lower 1 from min 127 to max 0. This achieves to a degree what I want, but both configurations work linear across the pedal's range, and the mid point (Expression approx. 63 on each layer) has overall lower volume than at the pedal end points where each layer has 127 or 0 expression, respectively. I can limit the range of the expression parameter to not start at 0, but that just means I can't mute the layer completely at 0 or full pedal. Is there a way to make a pedal edit to where the expression parameter stays at 127 from 0 pedal to about half way and then go linear 127 to 0 from mid-pedal to full pedal? And of course the opposite for the pedal's configuration 2? I would expect this would give the proper overall volume across the pedal's range but I can't figure out where I might be able to set this curve up. Any ideas?

  5. Hello. I just received the PX-560M digital piano that I ordered from Guitarcenter.com. After I had taken the keyboard out of the box and set it up to start playing it and exploring its features, I immediately noticed a defect in the LCD menu buttons. They don't work. I have to turn the keyboard off and on again in order to gain access to the MENU that you see when you first turn the piano on. I have recorded a short video and uploaded it to YouTube, so that you can see what I am talking about. It appears that the buttons are not doing what they are supposed to do. They seem to be activating whatever is on the screen to the left of the buttons, which is obviously incorrect. I am certainly disappointed, as this was my gift to myself this holiday season. Now, I will have to box the piano back up and send it back to Guitar Center for a refund, and then order another one. I just hope that Casio is aware of this serious issue with this model and is taking steps to resolve it. This does not appear to be a one-time thing, as I searched online and found that another customer is experiencing the same exact issue with his new Privia PX-560M. So, there is a quality control issue that needs to be addressed wherever these are being manufactured. Directly below is my video that I filmed and uploaded today. Further down is the other video that was uploaded by a different customer back in November.

    PX-560M Rhythms

Saw couple of demo videos on YouTube and decided to buy PX560M... Searched for a dealer in Toronto but there is NO showroom where one can go and try Casio keyboards. Eventually ordered PX560M from amazon and got it 4 days ago.. Keys are good, Piano sound is great and thats it!!! very bad styles or Rhythms.. poorly designed and they didn't even bother to adjust the levels of instruments in those Rhythms. Switch from one registration to another while the style/Rhythms is playing and you will have a break/pause !!! How can you perform when you have a break/pause while performing??? Honestly this instrument does not sound (specially styles / Rhythms ) for the price I paid for it.. Rhythms are poorly designed and very low quality as compared to Roland/Yamaha/Korg with similar price tag. NOT satisfied and returning it. Hope Casio take notice of this and improve in future. Thanks

  17. Please, report to Casio: there is no trace of the Arpeggiator in the technical description of the PX-560M neither here http://www.casio-music.com/it/strumenti/pianoforti-digitali/privia-pro/px-560m/ nor here http://www.casiomusicgear.com/products/menu_privia/PX-560 while it is one of the functions that led me to choose the Casio PX-560M rather than an other model of an other brand I would like in a future upgrade of the firmware a little bit of EDIT of the Arpeggiator in the PX-560M, that contains the 100 presets as the PX-5S, though I already know the main difference between the models: the PX-5S has 4 arpeggiators fully programmable, the PX-560M has 1 arpeggiator only assignable to a part and not programmable at all See Mike from 04'30" till 08'30" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPSVqrKvHv8 I would love for instance that you could assign the Arpeggiator to a parameter without repeating notes, it is a fact that the preset 3 = Panning already affects the CC#10 Pan and the preset 4 = Filtering affects the CC#74 Filter Cutoff (Set a Knob to the value above and see it move in a registration screen) I am only asking, wishing it can be done, it is a fact that nobody thought that an upgrade would come in such a short time so as to fix the problem of the Drums on CH10 in the MIDI files and to add the utility Save / Load All on USB stick
