hello to all, how can I access external MIDI devices connected to the XW's MIDI ports? There is only ONE(!) port available in any DAW: "CASIO USB-MIDI" which addresses the internal synth engine. The manual states that it is possible to use both ways simultaneously - and all the MIDI settings in the XW only make sense when it is possible to use both ports!!! Example: My Venom provides TWO ports in any DAW 1. "Venom Synth" which addresses the internal synth engine accesed via USB 2. "Venom MIDI" In+Out which addresses the MIDI ports on the back of the synth ...simple... How to use the devices connected to the MIDI ports of the XW with the DAW with only the "CASIO USB-MIDI" present? Thank you in advance for help.

Okay . . . I set up the keyboard with a split up at the 3rd C so that I'd have piano below, and then could reach up there for the steel drums. I lowered the steel drums 2 octaves so it would be normal although played in the upper 2 octaves. I then saved the setup to bank 2, #2. Works perfectly. EXCEPT It won't come out of that range. When I then return to the normal piano, it's all transposed two octabes LOWER and I cannot get out of it. Have to turn the keyboard OFF and back on to reset. ????

I just got my new Privia PX-5S today and am currently trying to set it up. I have all the cables in place. All that is missing is SOUND. I've been going through the owners manual to try to find the answer but am unable to find one. I didn't know if there were built in speakers that just aren't working? I've even plugged in M-AUDIO studio speakers and there is still no sound. I've tried playing the piano while adjusting the knobs, yet, still no sound. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks! -Clint

I went thru the stages and flagged many that are very similar, so I may overwrite them. Does anyone play live and have any special organization for the stages that work? I'm guessing the pianos in the bank X-0 position, ep's in bank X-1, etc makes sense, but it's a different way to setup sounds from what I'm used to, and I'm concerned about pressing 3 buttons to go from a piano to an organ quickly, for instance. My XP has on bank one: 3 pianos, 4 organs, 3 synths, so I can play several songs on this one bank requiring only one key press to switch sounds. For other sound sets, I can switch to bank 2, so again, I'm only hitting one button on the fly to change sounds if needed. Maybe this is a non-issue, but I was just wondering about how others set up for live play?
