jaysmall
I run sound for my band, and our keyboards player just got a new PX-560. He loves it. But he still uses his Roland VR-09 for a few specific applications. I would love to be able to take line out stereo signal from the VR-09 into the line in of the PX-560, then have it pass through the line out of the PX-560 stereo into our PA/recording rig. The manual says line in signals are processed by the DSP same as PX-560 keyboard input. I would not want that to happen. Is there a way to treat line in signals as pure pass-through? If not, does the PX-560 audio in (which the manual says is not touched by the DSP) pass to line out? As you can probably tell, the ideal situation is he can use the PX-560 as he wants, the Roland as he wants, and I get it all through one set of stereo inputs to the PA/recording rig. All advice greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Trent
A small mixer ($50-$100) can be used to divide the signals out and feed the keyboards; then send the final signal to the house mixer.
Display Name
HI Jay and welcome to the Casio Forums. This issue is easily solved by using the 1/8" audio input instead of the 1/4" line inputs. Just get a dual 1/4" mono to 1/8" stereo cable (pictured below). Signals from the 1/8" input on the PX-560 are not directed into the DSP so there you go!
jaysmall
Scott, thanks and that makes sense. But just to clarify, does the audio in signal also pass through to line out?
