Practising to play an Organ

Recommended Posts

Hi, just asking for my daughter who is currently finishing off exams at uni.
What is the best way for her to set up and practice on her 560 for playing on this.

Also any suggestions on how best to play on this.

She only has to play a reasonably standard arrangement of Amazing Grace but she has never played an organ before, and I'm not sure if she'll get a chance to practice on it before playing.

Thanks for any advice

Steve

Well you can do some splits on the PX-560, but I'm afraid even that won't be of much help for practicing on a dual manual organ (which probably also has bass pedals). The PX-560's weighted piano action is so much different than an organ. Short of getting a home organ, I'd try to find a church or college with a similar organ that will let her practice during off-times.
