Andre Lever
Hello, I bought a GSI Burn, but don´t know how to connect it to the PX5 MIDI wise..I want to control the pedal with the PX5 and don´t know where to begin... I use the 6 draw organ... Thanks, Al
Brad Saucier
To begin, you will need a standard midi din cable. Connect the midi out of the PX-5S to the midi in of the Burn. I am not familiar with the burn so I don't know what needs to be done on that unit to get things going.
Joe Muscara
I have the Burn but I haven't messed with the MIDI controllability of it yet. There are some groups on Yahoo! and Facebook that cover it and you may want to join and ask there. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/MojoMusicians/info https://www.facebook.com/groups/962387123793409/
Andre Lever
Thank you, maybe I should use it like a guitar pedal! :-) Which organ of the PX5 do you use for a nice Jazz sound (like Jimmy Smith) or Chester Thompson sound (Tower of Power)...? I really like this:
Hugh O Kelly
The burn looks and sounds very good If I had one,I would use it on the floor and use the sliders for better use Just my opinion
Andre Lever
Yes, but as a complete idiot in technical issues (and not a native english speaker) I do not know how to make the knobs and sliders taking control over the parameters of the Burn. Hugh O Kelly
I don't have a burn but there is an on/off switch which turns it on and off there is another knob which makes it go at a certain speed{fast and slow}(put it at the speeds that sounds good to you) It won't blow up if you play with it so experiment with it because you have a good unit and don't forget we are all complete idiots before we know how. What is sad is guys with loads-a-money buying everything and never knowing how to use what they buy. Enjoy
Andre Lever
The GSI makes some distortion noise although the Tube is off, maybe the signal arriving at the GSI is too high? Which is the best way to reduce the output of my beloved PX5S? I do not find a sensivitty function with the GSI..
Joe Muscara
The Burn has an indicator light to tell you if it's overloaded via the Clip LED.
Andre Lever
Yes, but when it turns red there is nothing but distortion, no organ sound only krkrkrkrkrkrkrkrkr Maybe all presets are made by a heavy metal distortion fan, with exception of "Jazz club" which distorts only with higher input... but long before the LED is blinking I turn the volume very low to get a clear sound
