I have been getting great sounds with the iPad but when I play live it is always at the expense of one of the 4 voices from the PX 5s

Is there a way to get a 5th ?

Don't confuse ZONEs with VOICES.  You have 4 zones but up to 14 voices that can be played directly from the keyboard  You  put hexlayers in Zone 1 and/or 2 and get up to 12 voices that way with splits.

Thanks Scott,just to turn it on its head,I have so many zones(4) or voices (12),also I am playing another voice from the iPad,

can I get separate control,volume etc of it from the PX 5s ?

Sure. You can assign a slider.knob if the iPad app respoinds to MIDI CC messages OR if you run the audio from the iPad into the PX-5S mini jack you can assign a slider/knob to control (external volume).

I just looked it up......of course it is

 

but then I'm back to my original problem....I've got the iPad and another voice all with the same controls

Scott,what I suppose I'm looking for is an extra channel that I can control the iPad.

 

If not,can I turn off the zone/voice from the px5 while controlling the iPad ?
