jmcolomina
Hi, I would like to use my G1 with a daw like bitwig but I don't know how assign tones to midi channels. I put hardware instruments in bitwig and I can assign midi channels to this hardware instruments, but I don't know how put G1 tones in those channels. I tried too with logic X. Thanks in advance. Brad Saucier
Look up the desired tone in the XW-G1 appendix charts and note the bank program change information shown. Enter that in the DAW track.

Tone changes when I change midi channel but not when I change program. And I don't konw how can assingn programs to midi channels. It is possible that I must chang any midi config parameter in my G1? Thanks.
Brad Saucier
I'm not familiar with any of those programs so I can't be of much help there. Nothing on the G1 should be blocking bank and program change information. If your software is sending the data on the proper channel, tones should change. SmoovJazzy55
You might try and download a midi monitor app. (I use my Casio MZ-2000 with Ableton Live 9) Go to the App Store and search Midi Monitor, there are a few so now you can see what is going out and coming in.
