XW-P1 Solo Synth

I have owned an XW-P1 for a few years now and just recently it has developed a stuck note problem. When I turn on the synth and it is in solo synth mode the first note I press stays stuck until I turn the synth off. When I turn it back on and push a note in solo synth the same thing happens. Rarely the note that is stuck will stay on and the power button is unresponsive so I have to unplug the unit to get it to stop. This does not happen in any other mode-just solo synth mode. I have done a reset sequence on the keyboard and the problem still exists. Any suggestions anyone?

Thanks

Hi BradMZ,

The problem seems to have worked itself out. Turned the unit off and on a couple of times and played on different solo synth settings while on. The last time I turned it on it was in the default setting so I tried it out and no stuck notes. This keyboard sat idle for about 6 months while I did other things musically so maybe it just needed to be "exercised" again to work the bug out. If I have any future problems I will certainly let you know. Also, I haven't downloaded the upgraded firmware yet either(still running on version1.0). I have been told by someone at Casio the easiest way to do this is after I've downloaded the upgraded firmware to put it on a data card and upload it to the keyboard via the data card. Do you agree with this?

Thanks,

WOODSYNTH
