smithh
Hi folks, Sliders S1 to S6 can send midi so that I can control software instruments. Can knobs K1 to K4 also send midi? Howard
Brad Saucier
Yes. You can program the knobs or find a stage setting already programmed where the knobs send midi CC's.
smithh
Hi Brad, Ah .... that would explain it. Are you saying that the knobs don't send the CCs by themselves? So, if I wanted to use the PX5S as a controller, perhaps I could keep a spare patch just as a set up for that? Do you know where in the menu system I could, in a patch, set the knobs up to send CCs? Brad Saucier
The function of the sliders, knobs, pedals and mod wheel are determined by the stage setting. You can program them any way you wish and write your own stage setting. The list of available targets is found under each controller in this menu: Edit>stage setting>common edit>..... smithh
Excellent. So I could set them to some unused CC numbers and then assign them in Learn mode on a software synth to any on screen virtual knob I wish.
