I recently am experimenting with stagelight its a nice free daw like music creation software It allows you to record audio or midi in the style also know in ableton but more simpler less complex. I use it for audio as I like to create loops by overdubbing on the XW but with this daw its like recording several layers per scene with the possibility to edit.
