sam-px5s
Hello everyone, Does anyone now that Line-In inputs of PX5s are balanced or unbalanced? I assume the line-outs are balanced. Thanks Best, Sam
Brad Saucier
The PX-5S has unbalanced inputs and outputs. It shouldn't hurt to use balanced but for longer cable runs you should use direct boxes.
bchapman_utah
Brad, What direct box do you personally use with your Privia PX-5S?
Brad Saucier
I have personally never needed one.
jaspeter
When I gig with a band, I'm usually too far away from the mixer to use unbalanced outs. For several years, I used cheap, hobby-level Pyle Pros. One of them gave out during a gig (fortunately, they're cheap so I had a spare). After that, I bought some Radial Pros (2-channel). They're extremely solid and I have little worry about them breaking or otherwise giving out - but they come with a significant price.
