dazedandconfused001
i know it probly doesnt belong here but i wasnt gettin a response in the other thread. i have an old CTK-511 (from i think 1998 could be wrong) on it are 100 rhythms and when i dont add the preset accompaniment they are just drum loops. my question is does anyone know if the drum loops are in public domain or if i use them as a drum track in music i write (addin my own guitar/bass) will i have to pay Casio royalties or some form of licensing fee? any info would be immensely helpful
Brad Saucier
Several Casio keyboard drum loops and patterns have been used in popular commerical recordings over the decades. I'm not aware of any kind of legal restrictions on keyboards.
