Casiokid
For what purpose is the USB icon in Rhythm Select used ? When I select it all I get is PARENT FOLDER Global-1 and nothing else? I normally manage loading and saving rhythms form the Display Screen -MEDIA. Any ideas -Thanks
Brad Saucier
That allows rhythms to be played directly from the USB drive without the need to load them into memory. The MZ-X has virtually unlimited rhythm storage.
Casiokid
Thanks Brad. Rhythms on the USB do not show when the USB icon is selected? There is a sub-folder labelled Global-1 but no rhythm files on the USB show? Do I need to put them in a folder in Musicdat ?
Casiokid
I cannot seem to find the file extension for Rhythms in the MZ-X manuals? ZAA file extension (Auto Accomp) doesn't seem to show under the USB icon in Rhythm Select?
Brad Saucier
ZAA is a package file. It contains many rhythms. That file type must be loaded via media menu.
Casiokid
I cannot seem to find the file extension for Rhythms in the MZ-X manuals? Possibly they might be compatible with the old Casio *.AC7 files ? I wonder who is using this feature, and with what file extensions have proved successful ? Because playing directly Rhythms from the USB is so useful as when playing MIDI files directly from USB on the MZ-X500. Thanks again Brad
Casiokid
Success ! I dug out some old *.AC7 Rhythm Files I downloaded from the Casio website four years ago, (they might be still available), and I can confirm that they are visible in Rhythm Select and are playable directly from the USB, without the need for loading into the MZ-X500 -Now what new *.AC7 Rhythm (Style) files are available out there?
