PX5S as a workstation

I have a Korg iM1 app on my iPad and midi it into my PX5s. I have watched a few tutorials but cannot find out how to assign the iPad midi link to a PX slider for volume control. Can someone point me to a tutorial or post directions? Thanks.

Hello,

I don't have this device so I'll talk generally.  So you want to control the iM1 with the PX, right?  First thing, check out the owners manual for the iM1.  The MIDI page has a few features to check.  For each channel that you want to receive from the PX, make sure that channel is active, you've set up any filters, and that you have activated CC (the control changes).

For example:

On the iM1, make sure for timbre or track 1 (I'm not sure what the 1 through 8 numbers on the side are for), the midi channel is set to 1, PC is lit and CC is lit.  From what I understand, it is now ready to receive program change and control change information.

On the PX, choose stage setting 0-0 .  I'm not in front of the PX at the moment but I believe slider 1 is set for a frequency filter or something.  I think if you tap the Control function on the iM1 it should bring up the controller screen.  In theory, you should be able to move slider 1 up and down on the PX and see the control numbers change.

Try moving the pitch wheel also on the PX.  If the two devices are connected, and the midi CC is active on the iM1, you should see some numbers change.
