Auditioning sounds on an Sd card

I thought I was pretty well up to speed in the "how to" category as far synths go, that is, until I purchased XW P1.  I downloaded the MuzykujPack  soundfiles into the Musicdat

folder on my SD card and popped the card into the SD slot on the P1.  All I'm seeing on the P1 display is the name of sound file, MUZYKU~1. ZAL.  What's the next step

to auditioning the individual patches on the sound file?  It seems like I've pushed every button except the right one.  Thanx in advance.

I wouldn't load that file into your XW-P1 directly! It will replace everything in it with what was in the P1 of the guy who made it. See this old thread:

I can't remember exactly what I did to try out those sounds but I think I used the XW-P1 Data Editor (PC or Mac) to load up the file and then just transferred the guy's sounds individually to an SD card or just uploaded directly into the XW-P1 from the program.

When you load sounds from an SD card use the "Card Load" menu item under the MENU button to access each sound. Note that you must be in the correct mode to access matching sounds. For example, you have to be in TONE mode with a Hex Layer tone selected to see and load the Hex Layer tones. You won't get them mixed up with anything else because that is all you will see of whatever is in the SD card's MUSICDAT directory.
