Githin
Is there any function in CASIO MZ-X500 like Left Hold in YAMAHA PSR 2000 etc..
Brad Saucier
We have an assignable sustain button. What are you trying to set up?
Githin
I didn't really mean sustain (pls forgive for my poor english):- while playing the keyboard without any rhythms, and playing the chords (lower) with strings, choir etc, the chord i play should automatically sustain until i play the next chord (I really mean the LEFT HOLD function in Yamaha Arranger Keyboards See the attached pic)
Brad Saucier
Short answer is no. The MZX series sustain button can be programmed to sustain only the left hand lower parts but it does not automatically end a previous chord when a new chord is played. Rick Stirling
Isn't "Left Hold" the default? You need to press SYNCHRO STOP to have it not hold. Maybe I'm missing something here?

Githin
Thanks for help But while playing the keyboard without ACCOMP, Quote sustain button can be programmed to sustain only the left hand lower parts but it does not automatically end a previous chord when a new chord is played. ! Brad Saucier
If you could explain what you are trying to play, we might be able to suggest an alternative.
ABRAHÃO
I understand that the topic is already old, but for those who are interested

Anyone who has gone through other brands already knows how it works. For example if you put a Strings Pad in your left hand with the accompaniment activated, this base of the Strings pad is fixed where you change chords and even removing the left hand the sound continues. The SUSTAIN effect on the pedal, if you keep using the pedal, the notes overlap, forcing you to take your foot off the pedal. I am amazed that few still do not understand the issue of the topic. If necessary I record a video with my Roland E-50 and MZ-X500 to explain the differences between Left Hold and Pedal Sustain.
