chelsea4023
Hi, I spotted that three new Casio piano models (AP270, PX870, PX770) have been launched at Summer NAMM acouple of days ago, therefore I came over to the Forum to have a read about them. Absolutely nothing anywhere. Confused.com Chris
tfort
I'm also surprised this hasn't gotten more attention. In the news release, Casio says this: "...Casio's new AP-270, Privia PX-770 and PX-870 boast a redesigned cabinet with all of the controls located on the side panel. These new models are equipped with a redesigned 88-key Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard with simulated ebony and ivory textured keys to reproduce the touch feeling of an acoustic piano while the weighted, scaled hammer action keyboard provides the depth and integrity of an acoustic piano. In addition, the AP-270 features both European and American concert grand piano tones with damper resonance and 22 tones; and the PX-770 and PX-870 feature an improved Stereo Grand Piano tone with damper resonance and 19 tones. Both the AP-270 and PX-770 have 128 note polyphony, while the PX-870 is outfitted with 256-note polyphony, a new Sound Projection Speaker System and Volume Sync EQ, Headphone mode and USB audio recording. These three models also offer Concert Play with 10 songs, three pedals, USB MIDI and two-track recording. In September, the AP-270 (MSRP: $1,499.99), PX-770 (MSRP: $1,099.99) and the PX-870 (MSRP: $1,499.99) will all be available at select music dealers nationwide. " I'd really like to get some more information about what has changed with the action. Does anybody know?
XW-Addict
I've let Namm pass this year its the second time now with summer namm mostly because of what was in the line. The only thing I wait for in anticipation from Casio is an Sa 78 form factor keyboard with the famous casio sounds on it be it FZ, CZ ,XW people want that. chelsea4023
Hi, I want Mike Martin to release the PX5-S replacement so much at Winter NAMM 2018 it hurts !!! Chris
AlenK
I feel for you because the pain must be unbearable now. Unfortunately, it's by no means certain that Casio will release a PX-5S replacement at the next summer NAMM either, so you better get some pain killers ready (watch out for those opiods!). We're discussing it in other forums here and trying to suss out Casio's future direction from very little information (that whole thing about blind men trying to identify an elephant by touching only one part of it).
